Ha Ha Ha

The only way I could win my game is if Jordan ran for less that 60 yards. I put the gooch on him.

I feel for you guys. Brooks just missed two great situations to dump it off to Jordan in space. He's certainly not catching 70 balls this year.

The last play, 3rd and 3 I thnk, Brooks was locked in to his left, Jordan was hanging out waiting at the 1st for the dump off ...

Brooks never even looked at him. Would have been an easy first. Brooks fired it downfield into the dirt ...

:o

All those that gave the warning in the preseason that LJ was not going to catch balls and hence did not deserve his ranking in PPR leagues were 100% correct

He might not catch a single pass given how ######ed this offensive scheme is

:bag:

Brooks is horrible......
I don't know which is worse. The play calling that's having Brooks take 5 and 7 step drops when the Chargers are getting constant and immediate penetration or Brooks not getting rid of the ball when he gets to the back of the drop.

Raiders offense is going nowhere. It's time to trade Lamont Jordan while you can still get something for him.

you can get something for him? All time low - might as well hang on and hope it is just a really crappy week!

What are you going to get after tonight? Rae Carruth? No choice but to hold Jordan at this point.

I'd hold until after week 5 after he plays Cleavland and SF back to back. His value should go up a bit by then. He's got to be "low" after tonight.

And lets be honest on Jordan & his blitz pick up skills.

Merriman just shoved him out of the way like he wasn't even there as he was making a beeline for Brooks & sack #3.

Pretty weak effort by Jordam IMO.

Wow. Welcome to Overreaction 101. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned, but it's one game. That the Raiders and Aaron Brooks are bad isn't a surprise. What is a surprise is that they aren't leaning more on Jordan to slow down that pass rush. I think they'll remedy that when they gameplan for next week.

Yeah - I'm sure things will turn around next week vs the Ravens defense!!!

I'm chairman of the committee to not overreact to week 1.Having said that, the Raiders look worse then I imagined. Brooks was many people's sneaky QB play this year, including many staff members right here, and his big arm was supposed to be a great match for Randy Moss. What is especially concerning is that the Raiders' offensive scheme lacks imagination and is flush with ineptitude. When the Chargers are still getting deep and immediate penetration Shell, or whoever is calling the plays, is still having Brooks take 5 and 7 step drops.Again, I know it's only one week, but I see not only poor execution from the Raiders offensive players but poor execution from the coaching staff as well which is a recipe for a year of underachieving. I'm not burying them yet, but this does not look promising.

going into tonight I had Lamont Jordan, Gates and Washington defense and only need like 10 points.

no problem huh ? I think I've gotten 11 ....... this is going to make for a nail biter year if Jordan / Gates combines each week for 15 touches, 50 yards and no TD's ........

Q: With pressure that aggressive by the SD front seven, why haven't the Raiders thrown even one screen pass??

A: Art Shell is inept. WTF is he doing looking like he's at a funeral every time they show him on the sideline.

I don't dispute what you are saying, but who drafted him for more than 1,400 total yards and 8-9 TD? Those are still reasonable targets. The "sky is falling" crowd is overreacting.

Trade him, asap
To WHO??? I passed on Edge to draft this guy... :wall:
That was six in one hand, half a dozen in the other, I'm afraid.
No one expects Edge to have as good as year as last season, but come on? Edge is going to get plenty of scoring opportunities near the goal line because of how efficient their passing offense is. So even if the Arizona OL stays dreadful and Edge doesn't get a lot of yards the guy is going to score TD's. Oakland's offense is a completely different story.

He got 14 points in the easiest week Arizona is going to have all year. Fourteen. (edited because I miscounted the first time)Let's say, since Arizona doesn't get to face SF every week (and Edge won't score 16 TDs), that he'll average 10 PPG this year (I'm being pretty generous with that) Over 16 games, that 160 points or good for RB21 under the current FBG rankings. That's INSANELY overvalued.

The hilarious thing to me is that when your OLine is weak and the DLine is just pinning there ears back, the screen or dumpoff passes to the RB are a great counter. And your RB caught 70 passes last year. So was the playcalling inept or was Brooks inept? Both?

The plays that worked when Shell played just don't work as well anymore.

Seven step drops through out the game with that viscious pass rush coming again and again. Are you kidding me?

Art Shell looked lost out there. The offense is a joke. The line can't block and the coaches seem to have zero flexibility in their scheme. SEVEN STEPS!!!

Gimme a freakin break. Aaron Brooks has enough problems just being Aaron Brooks. He and the Raiders are in trouble if the coaches don't make quick changes to their philosophy given the ineptitude of that OLine. Walter has no chance either with this system. No QB does.

The Raiders and all Raider fantasy players are in trouble. Sorry Jordan owners, I tried to warn you about this weeks ago.

:(

That Shell abandoned the run in the 1st quarter is definitely reason for concern in my honest opinion.

However, I'm a good bit more worried about whether or not he plans to use Jordan in the passing game. Anybody know what his tendency is in regard to his usage of RBs that way?

so based on tonight, IS jordan qualify as a candidate for buy low, or does he just stink it up all year?

id like to try to and get him for eli manning from a trent green/bldsoe owner.

opinions? or do i wait until he gets grounded by the ravens def? his value cant possible get much lower can it?

He's not going to light it up, but he'll be around RB20-22.
