Lance Moore Week 8 Scoring (1 Viewer)

Half the box scores say one and the other half says the other. If he had 82 yards I win...74 yards I lose. I didn't watch the game so if anyone could clarify, I'd appreciate it.

This is what makes it puzzling:

Moore led the team in receiving with eight catches for 82 yards, scoring his second touchdown of the season on an 8-yard toss from QB Drew Brees with six seconds to go in the fourth quarter.

Did a little research. There is an 8 yard reception that some people are giving to Henderson, while others are giving it to Moore.

This is the play in question...

3rd-4, NO26 2:28 D. Brees passed to D. Henderson to the right for 8 yard gain

The thing that is REALLY odd is that ESPN listed Moore with 7 catches, but actually shows the 8 yard catch in their play by play as going to Moore (which would actually give him 8). Yahoo on the other hand shows Moore with 8 catches, but shows Henderson as getting the 8 yard catch in their play by play (which would actually give him 7).

This doesn't really affect me either way, but I'm interested now. I recorded the Rams/Saints "short cuts" clips on Directv at 11:30, so I'll see if I can watch the play.

NFL.com has Henderson with 7 catches in the box score and Henderson getting the catch in the play by play, so my guess is that is accurate...but I'll still give it a look. I planned on watching the replay anyway.

Bummer - thanks for taking the time to look things over, I appreciate it.I also just got an email from a Pro Football Focus writer who broke down the Saints/Rams games and he also made it official by saying:

According to the two NFL gamebooks the NFL has taken one catch from him since they put out their first file yesterday, so they now have him down as 7-74-1. I’ve just compared the two gamebooks and 2:28 in Q4, which they initially credited as a catch by Moore, was in fact caught by Henderson. So Moore’s stats for yesterday should sit at 7-74-1.
