Lance Moore (1 Viewer)

Breakout year in 08 and Injury Plaqued year in 09. Henderson is still around, Colston is his solid self, and Meacham seems to be emergening as a solid #2 WR. Where does this leave Lance Moore if he is helthy in 2010???

It is hard to know. My gut instinct is that from week to week we won't know between Meachem, Henderson and Moore. I was hoping Moore would go somewhere as a FA but it looks like he is staying for the year anyway. It may be hard to rely on any of these guys until one or two of the others gets hurt again.

My guess:

He'll have 3 good games, and you won't know which ones they'll be. Just too many other WRs on that team that do more than he does.

in dynasty, i think he's a great buy low candidate. everyone is worried about his role but no one knows how the WR situation will break down really. we all know how good he can be in that offense.

my thinking is that meachem has moved ahead of henderson. moore is still a valuable slot receiver because brees really trusts him. meachem and henderson are downfield threats and don't really work over the middle. over the middle is where moore is at his best. i think opposing teams are going to blitz brees a lot rather than wait for him to pick apart their defense. shockey/thomas will have to stay in to help protect. meachem/henderson will run downfield and hope for the busted play. moore is too quick for a LB and will work that underneath route for the 1st down.

in redraft, i don't know if moore is rosterable because of the feast or famine play he will offer.

Right now he stands 4th on the depth chart behind Colston, Meacheam and Henderson. Who knows from one week to the next what you will get unless off coarse and injury takes out another WR.

It would not surprise me at all if Lance ends up being the highest fantasy scoring WR on the Saints in PPR format. He's healthy this year and Brees absolutely loves him. He has great hands and runs great routes.

Currently his ADP is WR78 in PPR, which is laughable.
