Ya, brutal move lolGod the Browns are so effing stupid. God bless you fans for putting up with this
I know you have a ton of holes (including QB) but I thought the wr position was one squad that was "okay" status quo. Trading picks and now having to sign him to a big deal doesnt make sense to me. He just isnt worth that.Ya, brutal move lol
Great way to convince a Kirk Cousins to sign, no?I know you have a ton of holes (including QB) but I thought the wr position was one squad that was "okay" status quo. Trading picks and now having to sign him to a big deal doesnt make sense to me. He just isnt worth that.
Well, they have the room, and Gordon and Coleman (and Njoku) are all still on rookie deals. The same may be true of their starting RB and possibly QB here soon, too.I know you have a ton of holes (including QB) but I thought the wr position was one squad that was "okay" status quo. Trading picks and now having to sign him to a big deal doesnt make sense to me. He just isnt worth that.
I like you, I like your posts so I am going to put this to you gently. Cousins is not going to Cleveland. I will eat my hat if that happens. Its not even a remote possibility.Great way to convince a Kirk Cousins to sign, no?
Show Kirk those weapons, saquon and a payday... He's ours.
The guy who walked off the field week 17 on a far superior team is definitely the right guy to be guiding a young team coming off a 16 loss season. Will love seeing the Browns fans lose their minds when he is targeted twice as much as Gordon and stalling their drives out.they need some experience in the offense but especially in the passing game. he can help provide a steadying influence on a young team.
Brutal. Miami fleeced them.Source: Browns traded a third and a future mid-rounder for Jarvis Landry

Per @ArmandoSalguero, Jarvis Landry's asking price of the Dolphins was 4y for $58m ($14.5 per year). We'll see where the Browns' figure comes in.

I don't think so and I know Grossi has been beating the drum consistently this off-season that WR was one of the biggest priorities on the team. What if they just found out Gordon failed a drug test?

How? They got a 3rd and ??? Not seeing that as fleecing them.pantherclub said:Brutal. Miami fleeced them.
Per Pat Mac: Two tidbits on Jarvis Landry: Only Antonio Brown and Julio Jones have more catches than he has since he arrived in 2014, and he led NFL w/ 112 receptions in ’17. Browns have never had 100-catch WR.Landry isnt that good and now they have to pay him 16/year. WR was the least of their holes.
Is it a crime to have a strength?Landry isnt that good and now they have to pay him 16/year. WR was the least of their holes.
That tells me a lot of things actually.Per Pat Mac: Two tidbits on Jarvis Landry: Only Antonio Brown and Julio Jones have more catches than he has since he arrived in 2014, and he led NFL w/ 112 receptions in ’17. Browns have never had 100-catch WR.
Bro... take a breather.
If Julio was 25 and ready for a contract, you might have a point. Contracts are always about timing. The Browns are scheduled to pay this guy more than Julio Jones... this is a deal?![]()

Didnt he have like 9 TDs last year?? Guessing those were all redzoneThat tells me a lot of things actually.
If you think he is in that tier of top wideouts then I dont know what to tell you. His YPC is stupid low which tells me the offense was basically dink and dunk to him up the field and then in the red zone he gets shut out. He rarely goes deep and is just mainly a bulk underneath guy. Not worth the salary or what they gave up
At 8.8 ypr last season. Coming in at 114 of 118 qualifiers. Let’s not pretend he’s in the same ball park as those twoPer Pat Mac: Two tidbits on Jarvis Landry: Only Antonio Brown and Julio Jones have more catches than he has since he arrived in 2014, and he led NFL w/ 112 receptions in ’17. He graded out as the best* redzone WR in the NFL this year, according to PFF. He was #5 in redzone target share as well. That tells me a lot of things actually.

Well when you compare Landry to brown and Julio...Who said he is in the same ballpark?
The guy legitimately said "he's not that good"
He is good. he's very good.

What value does YPR have? It's a usage indicator, not a production indicator. Jason Witten has a career YPR around that number, and he helped win a lot of games. At 8.8 ypr last season. Coming in at 114 of 118 qualifiers. Let’s not pretend he’s in the same ball park as those two

#3 in catches since entering the league. He is not.that.good
Not in this context. Is an 8.8 yard completion worth more if it's to a TE?you dont see the difference?
there are lies, damn lies and statistics#3 in catches since entering the league.
#1 last season
graded as best Red zone WR last season
"not that good"
what is good to you, exactly?
??? It most certainly is a production indicator. It measure productivity on a per reception basis. What value does YPR have? It's a usage indicator, not a production indicator. Jason Witten has a career YPR around that number, and he helped win a lot of games.
I wouldnt want my franchise to trade the bedrock of my team in draft picks
