Saw this in the daily email today... Guess I haven't been following this as closely as I should have b/c I had NO clue that Landry might still be limited??? Did he have a choice to make regarding Surgery after it happened and chose the wait and see approach????

Washington Redskins FS LaRon Landry (Achilles') likely will not play in the first preseason game because he is still on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Landry is talking about having offseason surgery on the achillies if it doesn't respond well this year, which is a red flag that it is not totally recovered after nine months of rehab. We would avoid him in IDP leagues this year.

While I don't recall reading this information, I would assume he made a choice not to have the surgery. Achilles' surgery has been a death sentence for many a professional athlete. I can't fault him at all for making the surgery the last resort.

I'm not in the camp that you should avoid Landry at all costs, but I sure would avoid him anywhere near the top safety tier this year. Let another owner make the mistake of looking at his average points per game last year. I doubt he plays 16 games this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he played less than 8.
