Larry Johnson (1 Viewer)

I started Portis and Holmes while leaving LJ on the bench in my TD only league. It's close, I'm down 14-12 with Portis, Jay Feely, and the Cowboys D going tonight while my opponent has Deuce McAllister.LJ's TD would have helped, hopefully Portis can at least match it....

You can thank yourself for the "ignorant" comment when I bump this on Sunday night and smear your face in the stench you left in this thread, GB.

Well? I'm waiting oh so patiently amidst the stench in the thread. Go ahead and start smearing whenever you're ready.I'll even do you a favor and refrain that pointing out that Johnson wouldn't have even gotten his one TD if Holmes hadn't sat out a couple plays with injury.
Think you don't quite get it, EVERY time Priest has a gain more than 15 yards, he takes HIMSELF out of the game. Must be out of shape.
Obviously an LJ owner who made the mistake of starting him this week....
Nope just someone who actually watches the game. ;)
So you didn't start LJ over SJax this week?

:bag:

I will say, however, that it was a very close call -- it turned out to be a 1-play difference. When the Chiefs get the ball 1st and goal and pull Priest to hand it to LJ, I fully expected LJ to knock in his second TD. 2 holding calls later and we're 30 yards out. This could just as easily have been a 60 yard, 2 TD game from LJ, which would put him ahead of Priest and on par with Cadillac.

That OAK defense looked a lot better than I thought it would.
What if's bite both ways. If Priest Holmes hadn't gotten his stinger, this could just as easily have been a 40 yard, 0 TD game from LJ.
Sounds like a worried Priest owner. :lmao:
Why would I be worried? I own both Holmes and Johnson, and if either one goes down to injury, the other becomes the unquestioned #1 RB in all of fantasy football.Reality check for TCTC. Some people can watch games objectively even if they do own the fantasy players involved.

In my money league, want to guess how many more total points SJ has over LJ? Not even close. By the way, this week, SJ who is the "starter" got 6 more points this week than LJ. Wow, you're right that was terrible GMing!
That's not the point. You said that you could start a 10-carry RB over a 20-carry RB, and I said that that was lunacy, because you were expecting the 10 carry RB wouldn't get 10 ypc and a TD every 5 touches again.Turns out... your 10 carry RB got outscored by pretty much every single 20 carry RB out there this week. Except for Corey Dillon, but that doesn't mean anything. Kyle Johnson, the FB for Denver, outscored Corey Dillon. Does that mean I should start Kyle Johnson next week, too?

Why is it so hard for you to just admit you were wrong?

Priest outscored LJ in my main money league by only 4 points, not impressive especially when it's clear Priest has lost that extra gear and still doesn't look like he is fully recovered. I will be SHOCKED if Priest can stay injury free all year.
See, that's the problem. You weren't advocating starting Johnson over Holmes. You were advocating starting Johnson against other RBs guaranteed of 20+ touches. Guys like Stephen Davis, Thomas Jones, Cadillac Williams, etc, etc, etc.
And Jamal Lewis, and Kevin Jones, and Willis McGahee, etc.Nice selective comparison there.

Larry Johnson was a good start this past week, and just about any week. Yes, he did worse than the three surprise top-5 backs this week, but he finished as RB14 which is way above where FBG had him projected.

For example, he did better than:

Ahman Green

Fred Taylor

Jamal Lewis

Willis McGahee

Kevin Jones

Rudi Johnson

Curtis Martin

IMO Larry Johnson is a top-notch RB2 for the rest of the year, and will probably end up top 5 overall (I assume he takes over >50% of the touches eventually, due to injury or just superior play). I would be very surprised if he doesn't end up top 10.

Just curious: Exactly how much does an entire keg of Kool-Aid cost these days?
