Last Minute Roster Moves, Do You Make Them? (1 Viewer)

I usually always have a great idea of what I want my lineup tp look like by Friday, but then on Saturday I tweak it, and Sunday morning I analyze over and over until I find a way to 'improve' it further. 90% of the time, my improvement is the opposite. It doesn't work.

Do you find this happens to you?

Sidebar: Don't play Darby against the Titans today no matter how many byes you are hit with. Titans run defense is STRONG.

Do watch Darby and try to get an idea about what type of runer he is. If he looks like he could be good, but is just getting no rrom against our defense, then make a move to trade for him or pick him off waivers. This is the perfect week to buy low on him, if it seems he could have potential.

Oh yeah and most of the time it either backfires or both guys put up similar numbers. At least it seems that way.

Just a heads up. Darby was cut the other day.

Okay.... Now I feel rediculous. Thanks for the info. Yes, even more reason to NOT play Darby.

See, I wish that was my case. Most of the time for me it's one guy goes off and the other guy doesn't so there's a huge differential in points. So, each week I feel like I have to put that right player in.For me this week, it's Rudi Johnson, Watson or WR Curry at a flex spot.I'm tired of the Cinci thing, I could just put in Curry and not worry about it, which I may. I am listening to see if Johnson doesn't play or more definitive information on his playing status. What I'd like (not that Cinci cares) is for Rudi to just rest another week and play Watson full time. I'd definately play Watson or Curry. I just don't want to guess between the two, if that's the case I may just roll the dice with Curry against San Diego.

Yeah in a case like the one you mention here, I have decided from now on to go with my gut. When I overthink my decisions is when it screws me.If your gut says Curry, then don't fall for the second guess last minute move! (I do every week)

:) I look at the upcoming match-ups every Tuesday night. I set the best line-up I have and determine if I can improve it through waivers and try to go get those guys (like I did with Jason Wright this week). Then the only changes I make are injury related.

I have the same problem as the previous poster.....I stress out about my decisions, because one guy always blows up and the other takes a big crapper, so I just have to realize that there is almost no way of knowing which one will do what in any given week....but, that's why we play the game.....

I know this is obvious, but getting the right guys off waivers is so crucial now that I spend more time deciding who to target then who to play each week.....should I use a roster spot on Selvin Young? Will Earnest Graham play more than 1 week as the TB starter? Will L Jordan get better, or will Rhodes take over? which WR will be a great sleeper play whis week, etc, etc.....

I'm sure overthinking right now. Since Berrian appears to be back I'm thinking of sitting Muhammad and starting either Tim Carter or Roydell Williams.

With Maroney out, I panicked last week and picked up Gado 5 minutes before the early games to replace Michael Turner in my starting lineup.

I only make injury or inactive moves on Sunday. I found making other moves backfire more than they are successful.

I try to stay away from making any changes to my roster Sunday unless there is an injury.

I go to bed with a clear mind Saturday and don't overthink on Sunday.

Today I had to resist benching Crayton for Berrian...we shall see how it works out

When you have a lot of players who are supposed to be doing a lot better than they are it's almost impossible not to do this, esp when they have 1 good week that makes you think they're "back." Try choosing between guys like Bulger or McNabb those first few weeks of the season when they have one amazing week and 1 or 2 pathetic ones......or guys like Benson, LJ, Drew, Bowe, etc etc (PS not a request for opinions because my lineup is in).

i always over analyze on Sunday - weather, last minute second guessing, etc. It always backfires. I am resisting my urge to change my lineup today. See how it goes
