Latest on Titans Haynesworth? (1 Viewer)

Haynesworth to miss game? - Sun Nov 18 9:13:00 a.m. ET 2007

(Rotoworld) Titans DT Albert Haynesworth "figures to miss" his second straight game on Monday night, according to FOXSports.com's John Czarnecki.

Impact: Haynesworth couldn't practice this week due to a hamstring injury and is a game-time decision. The Czar expects Travis Henry (torn PCL) to try to play, and if Haynesworth is out, both Henry and Selvin Young could be more productive. We won't know for sure about Henry or Haynesworth's status until Monday evening.

Him out = Bulluck numbers up!

gd it henry and haynesworth out = selvin young going off
Not necessarily.Haynesworth is a great run stopper, but I'm betting Fisher has made adjustments since last week to make sure they don't get eaten up by the run again. Whoever takes Haynesworth's place will better prepared this week.I have Young playing tonight along with Bironas and the Titans "D," but I'm not expecting much from any of them. I am sensing a low scoring game like 10-6 Broncos with Marshall getting the TD for Denver.

I am going to be really surprised if Haynesworth doesn't play at least a reasonable amount of snaps. No word here, yet, but I think he'll play.

Even if he doesn't, Selvin Young does not have the inside running ability of MJD.

If Haynesworth does not play, the top 4 defenders to watch for Titans' success will be Hope, Bulluck, Fowler, and...Reynaldo Hill. Even in a win, I predict that Hill will get burned at least one time.

On a limb here, but Scaife and Gage will be the receivers counted on most in the passing game.

Rachel Nic just said that Fisher said he cant really do much to change the scheme. It is Haynesworth himself that provides the difference. I am praying for a D score from the Titans tonight. Anything. Something to keep my hopes and dreams alive.

The Titans' run defense was absolutely putrid last week - and that was against an offense that had zero ability to throw the ball. Cutler is Joe Montana compared to Quinn Gray and Marshall and Stokely are Rice and Taylor compared to the crappy WRs the Jags have. If Haynesworth doesn't play tonight, I would expect the Broncos to run all over Tennessee. I don't think Fisher can scheme around Haynesworth's absence. He is that important to the Titans' D.
