Laurent Robinson - no value? (1 Viewer)

Fantasy Guru states that Laurent Robinson has fallen so far behind on the depth chart he is no longer draftable. I thought he was behind Michael Jenkins right now, but of course may eventually surpass him. I don't see how that makes him any less draftable than any other current non-starting WRs. Any homers want to weigh in on this?

He's not a starter and the new staff adores Michael Jenkins ability to block in the run game. He's probably someone you keep an eye on, but based on the current set-up, Robinson's role has been marginalized.

Definitely droppable in redraft, but keep an eye on the news wire and consider picking him up if he shows signs of life.

He's still a hold in dynasty. It's only his second season. We probably won't know what type of player he is for another year or two.

Dynasty-wise is he one to hold onto? It would seem he would be a good guy for dynasty, with Ryan developing and only Jenkins to pass again.

I'd read he fell behind due to his injury earlier in the offseason.

Who knows, but he seems to just be getting back into it.

Sigmund has been pretty high on him at times this pre-season but I guess health is a concern. As stated above his value is greater in Dynasty than ReDraft.

Keep in mind that whoever lost that no.2 battle was dropping to 4th on the depth chart due to Harry Douglas being so outstanding in the slot. I wouldn't put too much stock into Jenkins beating him other than they would rather a vet with good run blocking skills be in there especially with two rookies already getting a good deal of PT.

As soon as they figure out Jenkins can't help in the passing game, Robinson will play more.
You would be talking about Jenkins incredible ability to drop passes. Yes, once the coaching staff sees how he can kill a drive, they will send him back to the #4 spot.

Hate to have to agree with that, but Jenkins hasn't shown he can make it in the NFL yet. Robinson worth holding onto in a dynasty, not worth much in a redraft right now.

I disagree with this somewhat. He has essentially improved every year, and last year (his 4th season), he posted 53 532 4. Not great, but not enough to give up on him either. He shouldn't be on the WW (where I've found him in a few leagues) while Justin Gage is on rosters.

Is Jenkins a FF WR2? No, not yet. Can he become one? Sure. I'll give him another year before I say he's never going to do anything.

Guy is a former 1st round pick, played at Ohio State, and is a tall, physical WR - not saying he's a world beater, but he's not quite scrap heap material yet.
