IMO...get him while you can. I think he'll be a top 5 dynasty LB a year from now.

Upside's through the roof, but he lacks experience (not just at the NFL level) so he could be a headache in the near term but long term the sky's the limit. He can do it all and has the athleticism to be a stud for a long time if he's learned the position.

Good luck trying to buy him, as a Timmons owner it'd take a lot to get him off of my hands and I imagine the same is true for others. I mean, the risk is there that he never pieces it together, but having held onto him this long someone would have to offer me a low end LB1-like return for me to consider moving him.

Thanks for the input! I'm actually thinking about taking him as one of my top linebackers in my start 6 redraft league. I'm curious to see what people think about him this year.

I'm high on him, although I can't say that's any kind of firsthand fan opinion --- more statistical.

I saw some Timmons talk earlier.....wait here, let me find it.....

I think a couple knocks on the guy would be Farrior sucking up tackles next to him in the 3-4, and Pittsburgh historically facing fewer tackle opps than a lot of teams, but you'd probably get more big plays than your typical 4-3 mlb, I'd imagine.

I agree... I think Timmons is going to be an IDP stud. Only started two games last year, had five sacks and tied Harrison for the team lead with eight QBH. Future Pro Bowler with the big play ability of another Florida State alumnus, Derrick Brooks. Timmons has the potential for 90+ solos, 7-9 sacks, a couple of picks and double digit PDs. :headbang:
