I hope this issue gets addressed before Thursday's game. I may still have a chance to make the playoffs but I need some help from another team. His opponent this week is Notorious Ben 3 in League 08.08.1. He started 2 players on Bye week this last week. I would appreciate it if the admins would contact him. I would appreciate some help with this. Thanks.

I don't think that is going to happen. We have had teams in our leagues on cruise control (starting multiple players on bye weeks, Vincent Jackson in the starting lineup all year) and the admins have not intervened. Why would they intervene now with more on the line? I'm sure you and others in the league have benefited from playing these teams.

If they arent going to do anything about it I'd like to know why. If I owned the contest this is something I would take a little responsibility for. At least keep track of the teams doing it and send them an email. I always play to the end and there should be some sort of consequences for those that throw games.

You missed my point. Did you play this team when they had people on byes and non-starters in his lineup and win? Why now, with more on the line, should the admins intervene and mess with other people's teams? I'm pretty sure everyone played the same $350 to play in these leagues. If they choose not to field a full team, that's on them. I am with you, I put my best team out there every week (at least, what I perceive to be my best team). But having admins run teams on cruise control is not the answer.

Gladmark, here is the official position of the FPC Commissioners on this issue, as is addressed in the rules. Please let me know if there are any other questions:"Participants are expected field a starting lineup on a weekly basis and to manage their team to the best of their ability for the duration of the FPC season. We understand that some teams will stop actively managing their teams and may abandon them during the regular season. While there may be some RTSports.com software rules in place to encourage competitive weekly starting lineups, FPC Commissioners and JDAD, LLC cannot manage abandoned teams and is not able to start and bench players for those teams. The FPC will attempt to keep a record of owners who abandoned their teams and these participants may not be invited back to the FPC event for next year and beyond. If FPC believes that any team has been abandoned, FPC reserves the right at its sole discretion to either appoint a surrogate owner, or to freeze a team's roster for the remainder of the season. Entrants recognize that in many cases, it will be most feasible for FPC to opt for the freezing solution, albeit this result is sometimes imperfect. Participants assume this risk when entering the contest. FPC reserves the right to intervene in team management of any team whose participant is willingly trying to field a less competitive team or is manipulating the contest. "

Ok. At least there are some consequences...like not being allowed to play next year. Thanks for the reply Alex

One last suggestion on this topic. Since its the last 2-3 weeks of the regular season where someone might give up on their team you could send a mass email at this time. You sent a reminder about waivers today (Wed.) so remind everyone of this topic. Anyone discovered starting bye week players in 2 or more consecutive weeks will be subject to non participation next year.

Truly one of the more chicken #### answers from the commish. This is a pathetic response that your solution is pasting the fine print. How about using some common sense, or at least try sending out some email reminders. You have made absolutely ZERO effort to try and address or fix this problem this season and it's a shame that with every league being affected by this, many playoff spots are going to be decided by teams who quit. A HUGE negative to this contest and reason to not play in it anymore.

I'm sorry you feel that way but there really is little we can do. Quitting is a sad reality in HSFF contests and to date, there has not been a good way to address it. As far as emails, we will gladly send emails to the owners in question if we are asked to do so. We can also send a league-wide email as well. I can tell you from experience that this is no guarantee to help the situation.

The thing to do is win your games and then you won't have to depend on anyone else :P

rustycolts that is nonsense. I really hope someday you need someone to try and win to help you and they tank your game and you miss the playoffs because of it.

Uh no one asked you to justify your thoughts and reasons about HSFF. Please stop acting like Barry Obama and make some decisions. There has yet to be any emails sent out from the FFPC about this issue and its now Saturday. Please get your head out of your ### and look through all the leagues where teams that have hurt or bench players in are playing teams that will decide playoff spots. It's almost in every league. Do something.

I need that this week.I also need the team ahead of me to lose and he is playing one of those teams so I know how you feel.I really should not have made that comment in my post I apologize but in my case if I had made right line up choices in a couple of key games I wouldn't need the help of that other team. There is just a lot of luck involved in this but the odds are better than the lottery and it has been fun so I'm not complaining.Again sorry about comment.Hope you get a miracle and the slack team pulls it off for you.
