League Dominator Matchup Variance (1 Viewer)

Across a matchup, owning the WR for you opponent's QB means it is slightly more likely that your two lineups score more similarly; again, a good thing only if you're the underdog.
Hi. This calculation explanation is given at the bottom of the Matchup page. I'm not doubting it, I'd just like to understand it. It would seem that when you're an underdog you would want to increase variance and not have your points controlled by the opposing QB. Am I wrong in this thinking? Just curious, thanks!

I feel like it's a generalization that probably would be better off left out. I mean if you're in a pick'em pool, you can't catch the person ahead of you by picking the same winners they do. This is fantasy though and you need to consider scoring and starting the players that will score the most points.

In a PPR league for instance if I'm down to Julio and my opponent has Ryan and our scores are close, I'm feeling pretty good going into that game.
