ThisI have said it before, and I will say it again: MFL allows you to create a league with no obligation to pay, before the season starts. These leagues can be setup specifically for drafting (ie removing all features except for the draft board, chat, message board, etc). The options are great, allowing for a slow draft if need be, or a fast paced one. It has rankings, custom cheat sheets, pre-drafting, basically everything need to make a draft go smoothly.
That is all fine and dandy if 12 owners are all at different locations but if a league has 4 people at one house, 2 at another, and 6 at another house, it is virtually impossible to use a live draft function from a website like MFL, or ESPN, etc. cause either everyone needs their own computers or a bunch of people need commish access to enter picks for the people at each house. If you have multiple owners in different locations, then each location would just have googledoc draft board open and anyone can follow along and also enter picks.ThisI have said it before, and I will say it again: MFL allows you to create a league with no obligation to pay, before the season starts. Yes, if the doc is shared to your league members or public, then anyone can type in it and there is also a chat function on the side of the document as well.I like the google doc. I am waiting to see if people can access and update the sheet.
If people don't have their own rankings and prepared for the draft themselves, then I can not help you.I didn't like Google Docs because people don't know who's available. It's not like it has rankings ready for them to pick from.
You don't see the convenience in having a player pool of available players to choose from?It sure beats having to search the spreadsheet to see if your player was taken. If people don't have their own rankings and prepared for the draft themselves, then I can not help you.I didn't like Google Docs because people don't know who's available. In this day and age, it isn't that hard to find 4 people with their own laptops. And even without everyone having their own computer, it literally takes 2 seconds to log in and out of MFL. The best part about MFL is you can customize the draft timer, so you aren't locked into making a pick in a minute, you can set it up to be however long you like to accommodate people drafting from the same machine. And before you say it is impossible to do it, I have a league with 14 people, half in live near me, the other half all live near each other, and that is exactly how we do it. It makes it much smoother googledocs or webx or any other shared desktop space, because while those things work, you are literally running with no structure. If you're looking for online tools you may be more successful in the FFA.
We regularly have 8 or 9 owners in the same room. We don't require them to bring laptops as the commish is always there too and can make the picks if necessary but it seems that everyone still brings their own anyway.Do they have MFL access for mobile phones? In this day and age, it isn't that hard to find 4 people with their own laptops.
