Leagues with Team Qb's (1 Viewer)

In leagues where you draft team QBs other than individual qb's how does that affect your overall strategy? Some initial things that I think is that it helps Kevin Kolb and maybe Kyle Orton, because if Tebow or Vick come in, you will get their rushing yards along with Kolb and Orton's throwing yards. But how much does that help them?

Also, it might help roethlisburger because you get his backup as well. I like to wait and draft 2 qbs and platoon them, but I think the team qb gives u incentive to draft a high end qb because than you don't have to worry about a backup and spending 2 picks on a qb, cause if yours go down, you have the whole team qbs.

what do you think?

To me it just makes certain QB's more draftable. To me the best example this year is the Arizona QB. Leinart by himself is at least somewhat of a frightening proposition to most (not all I realize, but most) but drafting the Arizona team QB does not seem nearly as risky with the sort of targets they will have to throw to. And in the case of your team, when Brady went down a couple of years ago you still got the Matt Cassell points, which at the latter part of the year was tremendous.

Colts QB, Packers QB, etc...are still going to be the highest ones to go, quite obviously because they have studs entrenched. But the fringe QB's can certainly take a jump higher in the team QB model.

It does not really change strategy that much, since any team that has a QB contraversy probably has a QB you would not want to draft anyway. You can pretty much just replace Peyton Manning with Colts QB, Brees with Saints QB etc. The benefit is if your QB goes down in the middle of a game (like Brady in 2008), you are not completely screwed because you would still get points the backup gets.
