Lee Evans vs. NYJ (1 Viewer)

Probably not a bad week to start him, if someone was so inclined.

However, I can't because I just cut him. I'm sure (sort of) that there will be weeks where I really regret it, but I'm just sick of it. We all "know" the big week is coming, but he hasn't topped 80 yards in 23 consecutive games. It's been 30 straight (almost 2 full seasons) without a really good game (100+TD, and that was 100 on the nose with 2 catches). It's been 58 games since his last "I want to shoot myself for not starting him" games (100+2TDs).

So, I fail to see the point in taking a chance (chance is the wrong word, it's a near certainty) most weeks that he'll completely lay an egg for something that hasn't happened in 58 freaking games. At some point, you've got to stop calling a guy a "boom or bust" guy when the "booms" have stopped.

So, I'm officially done with Evans (I've owned him alot over the years). I'm sure it'll bite me in the ###, but I'll be alright.

As a sign of my contempt for Lee Evans, I'm dropping him for a player (if the bid holds up, fingers crossed) that's sure to be a nightmare to fantasy owners for years to come, Heyward-Bey. It only seems fitting.

Lee Evans is coming off his best performance of the season! :) Sadly, that performance was just 5 receptions for 54 yards.

The Bills now face a NYJ defense, without Revis of course, that was exposed a bit by Miami's passing game. The Jets allowed Chad Henne to throw for 363 yards 2 TDs and 1 INT. Marshall had 10 receptions for 166 yards. Revis' absence seems to have a pretty glaring effect on how well the Jets can defend the pass.

Ryan Fitzpatrick actually managed to move the Bills offense a bit and put up some points against the Patriots.

I'm starting Lee Evans again this week, but it's mostly out of necessity with Percy Harvin and Dwayne Bowe on byes. Anyone else giving him the nod?

I am actually starting BOTH Roscoe Parrish and Steve Johnson in one of my deep leagues as bye week replacements. I suspect I won't still be in first place after this week though.

Oof.I'm just hoping Cromartie is on Evans and tries to jump a few routes. Antonio seems to take some major chances, which allows WRs to beat him deep.

If you watched the game that was all Marshall. Cormarties actually played reasonably well against him but Marshall just appeared uncoverable at times. I don't think Evans has the physicality to manhandle Cormarties the way Marshall did.Is Evans a terrible start this week? No, but I don't think you can base that off of what Marshall did. Also let's remember that Ryan Fitzpatrick has shown flashes before and then tunred back into a pumpkin the following week. He's a journeyman QB for a reason.

I did watch the game. Marshall looked outstanding. I was just highlighting that a WR1 could have a great game against a Revisless Jets defense. Am I expecting those type of numbers from Lee Evans? Absolutely not, but he could still have a pretty solid game.As I said when I bumped the thread, I'm out of options. Lee Evans is in my lineup whether I like it or not. I just wanted to point out that it was possible to torch the Jets D to make myself feel better.

I'd never start evans againt a 3-4 with elite edge rushers. Maybe evans gets late mercy catches but.ill be keeping my distance this week.

Can we all agree that Lee Evans is pretty good? Finally they have a QB who can throw the ball deep to him it seems.
