Lee Evans Worth A Look? (1 Viewer)

I know losing Boldin means a bump to the Balt TE's, but what about Lee Evans? He will start on the outside now opposite Torrey Smith. Up against Cleveland this week... I'm thinking he could have a pretty nice day. He has been back at 100% for a few weeks now. I'm struggling with guys like Garcon and Damian Williams as a WR3 this week.

“On the field, timing-wise, all that, I’d be lying if I said it didn’t affect that at all because it did,” Evans acknowledged. “And I got a late start coming halfway through training camp. So I already knew I was behind the eight ball a little bit, and me missing those games certainly didn’t help. But the only thing I could try to do was still try to be around everybody and be able to talk to Joe in meetings and be there for him on the field as well. I wasn’t able to play and catch balls, but I think I was able to build some type of rapport not only with Joe, but with the receivers as well, being able to help them even when I wasn’t playing.”Flacco said the pair are working on their on-field chemistry.“It’s growing. It’s getting there,” Flacco said. “I think he came in here as a pretty explosive player from the beginning and then, obviously, not being healthy at the beginning of the year threw a little bit of that off. But he’s out there and getting better each week.”
Def worth looking at, CLE is the type of game he could be productive in.

Why CLE? According to MFL CLE has the #3 pass D. Am I missing something? Trying to decide if I should go with Cobb or Evans or Meachem. Although Boldin being out is good, I figure BA will feed Ray Rice heavy.

Evans and Smith are pretty similar players, no? I find it surprising that they would line them up on opposite sides of the field...although I admit I could be completely off on this.

Thinking Evans is usually a 3/95 type player, not a lot of catches just a big gain, CLE will have to commit resources to try to stop the run. I'm debating him, Driver or Breaston this week myself for a WR3 spot.

Evans is a boom or bust kind of player. If you are a big underdog and need to roll the dice he would be a good start. If you are a solid favorite, you can probably find a safer option to get you points more consistently.
