Trap Play
Footballguy
Hi all.
OK. Maybe this doesn't deserve its own thread, but I'm seeing a lot of Lee Evans hype this week regarding what a great play he is, and I'm not buying it. I've been burned by this guy a number of times this year, so, yeah, I'm a little biased. However, I do think that he has a chance to turn things around this year, but just not this week.
The Green Bay Packers have been pretty putrid against the pass this year, but they are turning it around. Last week Green Bay shutdown Anquan Boldin, and Al Harris' play has only improved over the course of this year. In fact, Green Bay has done a very good job of containing their opponents primary receivers this year. Add on top of this that it looks like Charles Woodson is playing this week: http://packers.com/news/stories/2006/11/03/2/ , and I just don't see how playing Evans as your WR2 is going to be anything other than a big letdown.
