Lee Evans (1 Viewer)

Finally the Evans owner gave up on him and dropped him. Unfortunately the worst player I had was Kevin Curtis and with the Eagles being inconsistent and never feeling like I can trust starting him, I dumped him. Hopefully Evans lives up to the 2nd half he's known to have year in and year out.
That and it`s always nice to have a player or players on your fantasy team that play for your favorite nfl team....BILLIEVE ;) how did you manage to obtain all these studs on your team... QBs: Tony Romo | Donovan McNabb RBs: Joseph Addai | Kenton Keith | Travis Henry | Selvin Young | Willie Parker | Clinton Portis | Kenny Watson WRs: Chad Johnson | Santonio Holmes | Greg Jennings | Lee Evans

Alot of talk in here about Evans struggles with QB issues and lack of another recieving weapon, but not much at all about the Bills vanilla offense. The Bills O has been very vanilla ever since Jauron has been there and it doesn't appear likely that will change anytime soon. The problem is they usually only pass on obvious passing downs and don't mix it up enough on 1st down. With Evans as the only real receiving threat, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who the defense needs to stop on 3rd down.

I started with McNabb. We could only keep 6 players at one point and a team was stacked, so I traded draft picks for Corey Dillon, Chad Johnson etc. I drafted Parker before he played a game and took Addai with my first rounder. Due to lack of interest in our area as of late, we removed 2 teams and held a separate draft with those players. The way it was set up, you could keep 6 this year. If you kept 7 you gave up your 1st, if you kept 8 you gave up your 1st & 2nd. I kept 6, used my #1 and #2 on Portis & Henry. Alot of teams wanted a shot at AP & Calvin Johnson and so they passed on drafting these players hoping more teams would use their 1sts. Most didn't and if you didnt use your 1st, you couldn't pick someone in the 2nd. Due to only 10 teams, there are more available players than usual.. Holmes I took this year with my first pick (3rd round) and Jennings and Evans were released this year. Romo is also another player I grabbed before he played a game. So...Started with McNabbTraded for JohnsonDrafted Addai, Parker, HolmesPicked up Romo (before he played a game)Drafted Henry & Portis in the cut down draftPicked up Jennings & Evans this year

Nice work

Trends usually have some merit...nice breakdown.
It's coincidental. It's analogous to saying Saberhagen will be better in even years than in odd years. It lasted for a while, but ultimately petered out. When there's no coherent logic to it, trends can only be considered incidental.
say what you want - coincidence or merit?, but you can't argue with his numbers since Buffalo came back from their BYE.10/236/23.6/1, prior to that 12/113/9.41/0

All he needs is one or two deep throws on the money as he can outrace any defender. The 85-yarder with 4 minutes left was a gift!

Does anyone have a feeling that this game against the Bengals will be one of his blowup days?

Something like 4 catches for 130 yds and 1td?

Am I crazy?

Evans has set a standard so that a "blowup day" for him is something around the 200 yard mark with multiple TDs.

I think he's got the schedule to be great the rest of the way regardless of which QB is throwing to him as long as he gets his share of targets.

The thing is, it was never a question of ability: just the offensive play calling, QBing, and some really good defenses. He also had about three plays that were inches away from being long TDs passes. If a couple of those fall right we never would even have been talking about him.

I encourage anyone who has not done so yet, to go to NFL.com and check out the Lee Evans Week 9 Highlight video. He made just about every difficult catch in the book today and did so with perfection.
