White bringing workouts homeSore hamstring slows ex-USC starBy Mike Klis Denver Post Staff Writer

Going home again is rarely a lightly considered decision, so LenDale White must be getting serious. Stung by speculation his NFL draft value may have fallen, White will leave Southern California today and return to his offseason home in Denver. A former star running back at Chatfield High School and the University of Southern California, White will fly here today for a scheduled appointment with a local medical specialist regarding his troublesome hamstring, according to his uncle Herman White. LenDale White will continue to rehabilitate in Denver with plans of having a personal workout for NFL scouts here before the draft, which is April 29-30. "The driving factor was to bring him back to his roots," Herman White said Monday. "There's been a lot of attacks on LenDale nationally because he weighed 244 pounds on his (USC) workout day and wasn't able to perform because he tweaked his hamstring. "But when he weighed 252 pounds and rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns against Texas in the national championship game, it wasn't an issue." Having joined his USC teammates in skipping the NFL combine in Indianapolis in late February, White was gearing toward the USC workout day on April 2. However, a hamstring pull forced White to skip the workouts except for the bench press, where he lifted 225 pounds a disappointing 15 times. This caused several draft prognosticators to drop White's projection from around 10th overall to 22nd, where the Broncos just happen to have their second first-round pick. Receivers to visit The Broncos' first pick in the draft is No. 15 overall, and several draft outlets predict Florida wide receiver Chad Jackson will be their choice. A 6-foot-2 junior whose 4.32-second time in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine was the fastest among offensive players, Jackson will visit the Broncos early next week, according to his agent, David Canter. The Broncos can visit with up to 20 out-of-state draft prospects. Other potential first- round wide receivers are Ohio State's Santonio Holmes, who also will visit Denver; Miami's Sinorice Moss; and Notre Dame's Maurice Stovall, who also is expected to visit. "In this draft as far as big-time playmakers, you have Reggie Bush, you have an unbelievable freak at tight end in Vernon Davis," Canter said. "And then the premier player at receiver, the No. 1 guy by far, is Chad Jackson." Harrington on hold The Broncos still are monitoring Detroit quarterback Joey Harrington. Miami and Harrington reportedly have a contract agreement, but the Dolphins aren't offering the mid- round draft pick Detroit is seeking. If Harrington isn't traded, he will be cut by June 15, when he is due a bonus. Denver also has shown interest in Baltimore backup Anthony Wright.
Personally i want denver to move up in the draft to get a Duke Davis or Mario Williams; or get a couple players on the D side of things, but these two guys are potential impact players. Could be interesting.

I don't think you're reading the article correctly about White.....it's saying that he's going to Denver (his childhood home) to get his sore hamstring checked out by a specialist there. Nothing about that article says he's visiting the Broncos for a workout.
