Lendale White (1 Viewer)

I'm hearing that White has easily been the best back in camp so far.

Fisher said the team has decided on its starter for Saturday's preseason game, but that they might rotate on a weekly basis during the preseason to give other players an opportunity. It will be interesting to see who starts on Saturday. My guess is that whoever starts will be the front runner for the opening day gig.

Lendale SHOULD be the best back in camp, and he SHOULD be the person they thought they were drafting. Like Ced Benson, his NFL experience so far combined with his not-PR-savvy attitude have made people quickly forget how awesome he was in college.

They just need get him all lathered up, give him the ball 25 times, and forget about all the "issues". LenDale's immaturity has held him back, but if they rely on him, he'll deliver. The OL is an excellent unit.

Hey, if any of you are ready to take the next step in commitment, feel free to sign onto the LenDale White Bandwagon. We've been in the shop for about a year now, but we're all gassed up and ready to hit the road. :football:
I am co-piloting this bandwagon, everyone else has to ride in tow. :football:
I'm not sure there will be enough people to drive in tow, most are them are hurt from having to carry the bus home after it's co-pilots ditched last season. It's going to be another lonely bus ride. Do you people ever learn? http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...white+bandwagon
:toilet: What are your White projections?
I don't think the guy can stay healthy enough to make accurate projections. I'll just go ahead and say he misses SEVERAL games. You should know this all too well...every time you jumped back on the bus last year the guy got a hangnail and couldn't play.
Per Rotoworld.comLenDale White missed practice Monday with a mild ankle sprain.

White experienced some swelling in the ankle, and considering his history of injuries, this is of some concern. He was expected to start this weekend's preseason game. This could be a good litmus test about whether White will be willing to play through small injuries during the season.

Here we go already. Amazing!

I'm starting to think White is using a good strategy. If he keeps coming up with these minor injuries all the time he can extend his time in the NFL getting a paycheck. If he's on the bench it can't be proven he sucks and the team will keep him around based on his "potential".He can probably milk his college success for a few years with this strategy.

If you were fighting for a starting job would you rather nurse your minor injury, let it heal, and come out full strength in the preseason game in which the coaching staff will be judging you? Or would you rather practice injured, let the injury linger, and risk underwhelming during the most important opportunity of your preseason? Now maybe White is really a turd. My point here is that everyone is pre-disposed to assume that any setbacks involving White are the result of laziness and a poor attitude. If this story had been about Adrian Peterson or Marshawn Lynch, no one would be accusing them of dogging it. There's a lot of football left to be played before the opening day kickoff.

White gets injured every other week, even during the season. He's been resting his "injuries" ever since he's been in the NFL.I'm seriously starting to think he knows he doesn't have what it takes to succeed at the NFL level and is using these injuries as a strategy to live off his college potential.Something isn't right here.

Maybe he pounded on his ankle with a hammer, to create the swelling himself. :bag:

All of his injuries can be faked. Hamstring/mild sprain. These are things that you can say you have and even the medical staff can't really dispute it.

Why did LenDale White sit out of practice today?Fisher: "He’s got a mild ankle sprain. He actually, in the third quarter, played through it. But it was quite swollen this morning when he came back in. He got treatment for it twice yesterday so we’re just trying to get the swelling out. As soon as we do we’ll get him back on the field."How is White feeling about sitting out of practice?Fisher: "He’s not happy about not practicing. On occasion, he’s probably reminded about it too. But it’s legitimate, he’s got swelling in the ankle, and as soon as we get it out, it’s like any other ankle. When they swell, you’ve got to get the swelling out before you return to practice."

He has fat ankles which look swollen all of the time, his whole body looks swollen to me. I can see how it could be confused as swelling though.

Thanks for the wealth of information you provided here.Edit to add: Lendale wasn't listed as "injured" in today's practice report, he must be back practicing already. Guess all the haters will have to come up with some other reason to bash him this week.

Lendale's Friday night start may be in jeopardy:

Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said it’s too early to know whether running back LenDale White, who came out of the preseason opener with a swollen ankle, will be able to start as scheduled Friday night in New England.

White has pushed through nicks this preseason and scored points with coaches for showing more toughness and commitment.

But he was out of this afternoon’s full team practice and indicated he thought he’s doubtful for Friday night.

True, but then they don't have his history. Any supervisor understands the difference between a person who consistently works hard missing an hour of work or a deadline vs. a person who seems to always be slacking doing the same.

Titans running backs coach Sherman Smith "appears ready" to name Chris Brown the team's starter."I think it’s starting to clear itself out. We’ve had two preseason games, and LenDale hasn’t played in one of them," Smith said. Smith is happy with Brown's consistency and disappointed in LenDale White, who the Titans had hoped they could rely on but has succumbed to injury again. It looks like LenDale will have to play this weekend to have any chance to start Week 1.
