Lendale White (1 Viewer)

Did I see what I thought I saw? Did Lendale actually kick the ref in the leg? If so, Fisher and the league will come down HARD.

Just checked NFL.com play by play, and he didn't get a carry after this:

3-4-CIN 4 (:12) (Shotgun) 10-V.Young pass short right to 25-L.White to CIN 5 for -1 yards (24-D.O'Neal; 57-Dh.Jones). Penalty on CIN-26-M.White, Personal Foul, offsetting. Penalty on TEN-25-L.White, Personal Foul, offsetting.

It sure looked to me like he kicked the ref in the leg and got the instant flag. TN homers?

he did not kick the ref...white was in after this penalty.

the sky is not falling.

He kneed Marvin White(Bengals DB) in the head... then he had a pouty face on the bench the rest of the game.

We must now ponder:

As an organization, Cincinnati has been ridiculed for its players actions on and off the field.

Now, Tennessee, as an entire organization, should be looked at in the same likeness. After all, they do currently employ Albert Haynesworth, PacMan Jones, LenDale White, Chris Henry.

On the lighter side, both organizations are eerily similar in that they both employ guys named Chris Henry, both of whom have faced suspensions this year.

White played after that penalty. He received a 3rd and goal carry from the one and got stuffed. So Fisher didn't bench him completely.

But LenDale has definitely done enough to be deeply seated in Fisher's doghouse.

Last week, White's fumble ended a very pretty Tennessee drive.

This week, his reaction to a Cincinnati personal foul kept Tennessee from a 1st and goal on the one with 7 seconds to go in the first half and one time out... Instead White responds and Tennessee settles for a field goal.

Add that he hasn't been very effective lately and White can expect a lot of time on the bench in upcoming games...

 The Titans have received a free ride compared to the Benglas bad press.

dude...RB Chris Henry was suspended for taking Adderol (sp?) for his ADHD....Lendale kicked a player off of him after a late hit....I wouldn't jump to say that the TITANS are on the same field (arrest and behavior wise) as the Bengals. On a side note...the Titans made the Bengals look like the Pats today. Really bad football by Tennessee.

It seems you forgot to mention Pac Man and Haynesworth in your reply. I think they give the Bengals a run for their money.

I think it is the Homer goggles.I don't see the Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins, or Arizona Cardinals, for that matter, filling up the police report's or commissioner's desk for stupid, intolerable acts.I do not mean any harm... but Haynesworth got off easy for cleating Gurode in the face... Oh and here is more on Haynesworth:
Haynesworth played college football in the University of Tennessee. He has a history of issues with his temper. While a sophomore at Tennessee, he fought with a teammate and left practice, returning with a long pole looking for tackle Will Ofenheusle before coach Phillip Fulmer stopped him. He was suspended for a half of a game. Another incident occurred at a Titans training camp, where he kicked his teammate, center Justin Hartwig, in the chest, and had to be restrained by other teammates.[1]Arrest warrants were issued against Haynesworth in two Tennessee counties in May of 2006 stemming from a traffic incident on Interstate 40. Both sets of charges were dropped in June of 2006. The Judge in the Putnam county case tossed the charges on the grounds that the alleged offense happened out of their jurisdiction. In Smith county, the district attorney dismissed the charges.
So I guess it is okay for Henry to take a banned substance? It is okay to kick players now? Why aren't you in defense of PacMan Jones either?Just face it... YOUR tennessee titans haven't had a very good recent history when it comes to good behavior, look at Vince Young for example. I didn't even mention him because that isn't on the level.I bet you made a big deal when Marcus Vick kicked Elvis Dumervil in college, but its okay if LenDale White is doing it?I am all for a great conversation on this topic, but don't bring a cheap bag of stale chips, bring a Porterhouse! :excited:

Titans are surely no choir boys. How do the number of arrests compare? I really don't know.J

"A few" compared to "a lot, including some with gunfire involved."

Not really. The Haynesworth thing and PacMan thing received their fair amount of bad press....and league suspensions. But how many Bengals players have been arrested? And Chris Henry (RB)...again...just dumb even bringing that up.And Lendale reacted to a personal foul...yeah, that has never happened on the field before.

He did not bring up Jones and Haynesworth because nobody is trying to defend that. And Haynesworth got his penalty...paid the price...and has come back and been a model citizen (as he is in the community) and been a beast on the field. What Lendale did is nowhere near to what Vick did.Nice try...but you did not want great conversation when this part of the topic came up...sorry, that comparison was weak to even list Henry and White in this.

You can't defend Haynesworth and PacMan...Haynesworth did serve his suspension as is PacMan.

I'd be SHOCKED if PacMan Jones ever put on a Titan uniform again.

You can also bring up the Steve McNair DUI if you'd like...he was a passenger in his own vehicle on his second one. How do you figure the Titans have gotten off free from the press on their player issues? PacMan Jones is brought up during every game broadcast. You just can't compare the two teams, don't the Bengals have like 10 arrest over the last year or so?

Haynesworth's contract is up this year...and I guarantee teams will be knocking down his door to sign him. The guy has a bad temper, always has and always will...but he can play ball and that's really all NFL teams care about.

thanks for the clip. After watching it I have to say it seems like no big deal to me. Looked more like a push bump than anything. I was expecting Lendale to be going off on him. I dont think that "thug" comment was warranted either. How about the guy making the late Hit? thats more of a thug move.
:goodposting: I've seen more spirited personal fouls... Definitely a PF, but seems to have been blown a bit out of proportion in this thread...

Thanks for the link. He kicked the player, who then knocked into the ref - that's what I was reacting to. I definitely saw the ref get bumped back with the kick - just didn't see the player on the ground. Still, it will be interesting to see if Fish says anything about it.

Fisher should be most pissed about the way White jerked his arm away from him.

Dumb play but no big deal and I'm a Jags fan and titans hater. I'd love a chance at bashing LenDale, but that looked like a pretty standard dead ball personal foul.

I didn't know Jeff Fisher was Lendale's father?Players get upset...it happens. I doubt Fish will get to fired up about that, but will probably talk to Lendale (like he would any other young player) about keeping his cool...especially when the team is in the redzone.

You guys were making this out to be a big thing then I watched the video and thought, "Is this really what they are all up in arms about?" Yes it was dumb to do, but come on. A guy gets hit late and reacts. How would I have reacted I would have looked at the ref, seen the flag he was throwing and clapped while walking back to the huddle. I have seen guys get heated from being hit late, had they both been on their feet he would have probably just pushed him. Again, no big dea.

Aniways you still have another 5 weeks of seeing this guy as your starting RB ( He is worthless ) and next season they will probably give the ball to Henry ( He looked good in the minimal time he got on the field )
