...With that said, I never wish injury on anyone, but I would not mind seeing Lendale White's career cut short. I have never seen any player that appreciates his luck any less than this POS. Youre sitting at 9 carries for 10 yards before getting your TD today. Congrats. My mother could have run that one in. You have the worst TD celebration I have ever seen. My "Lawnmower Man" is a better performance than what you exert.

And then to grab a towel (which is homemade, since that is the worst imitation Terrible Towel I have ever seen), and proceed to kick it through the dirt when you have done very little to help this team win this year (except to come in on 1 yd TD runs) shows how little class you truly have.

First of all: at your towl being stomped on just like your team was this week. Second: your claims of Lendale being useless when he is the spitting image of what Jerome Bettis was for you guys makes me fall out of my chair laughing. Of all the teams in the NFL to be a homer of, I don't think Steeler fans have a right to claim Lendale as a useless player because all he's used for is to punch it in from the 2.

Third: If the Steelers want to do something about it, beat them in the playoffs. If they can't do that, then a towel-stomping is the least of their concerns.

To mention Lendale friggin White in the same breathe as Jerome Bettis shows a lack of sincerity and/or football knowledge. One did the most with his talent, gave his all to the game and carried himself with dignity off the field; the other does the minimal amount with his talent, throws his coaches under the bus at the first sign of adversity and acts like he deserves respect and accolades for doing so. I am not a fan of the Steelers, I love it when they lose and wouldn't mind seeing the Titans in the Super Bowl. I am also frustrated with White's act, partially because I own him on my Dynasty team and hate to see him waste his talent and opportunity but mostly because he is another example of a clueless professional athlete. I don't care what he did to that ridiculous towel but you can't honestly put him in the same category as Bettis.

I'll say it again folks for the millionth time. Im not sore about the loss yesterday. The Steelers got their ### whipped by the Titans and they were even without their two best players on defense. There is not one positive I can pull out of that game yesterday for Pittsburgh. Pathetic display.

Now looking back on my OP, I wish I didnt even mention the towel. My dislike of this POS started way earlier in the season. My gripe with White is that he throws his team under the bus when hes not getting enough carries, but he has one of the lower YPC. He leads the league in 1 yd TDs. Congratulations. My mom could do that with no legs.

Now, was Bettis a goal line back? Of course. Did he vulture a few TDs? Absolutely. But he appreciated every opportunity he had and not once did he complain or throw his players and coaches under the bus. To compare the character of these two players is ludicrous.

I do find it funny that the Steeler fan that started this thread has stated many times this thread is not about the towel, or even the type of player White is, but most here are focusing on both. It was about White the NFL player and his lack of class. Wow, what a classless group we have here. Nice flame job guys. Lay off poopdawg - he is good guy and he respectfully expressed his opinion. That does not make him bitter, a sore loser, or anything else.

As Steelers fans, we will all admit that the team got their butts kicked today. However, acts like Chris Johnson waving his white towel after a TD to mock Steelers fans, Lenwhale trashing a pathetic looking terrible towel, and Keith Bullocks posing and taunting with said towel were completely disrespectful, classless, and unsportsmanlike. I can't recall the last time I saw this type of nonsense and I do not think there is any place for it.

But that's OK. In a way, I am glad they did it. This will no doubt be bulletin-board material that will fuel the Steelers. We will see what happens when they meet in the AFC Championship game. I would rather have the Steelers win then instead of this week.

I am and was a big Celtics fan. Johnny Most used to call the duo of Laimbeer and Rick Mahorn Mcdirty and McNasty for their style of play. This was old school take no prisoners basketball. Everybody hated them but the Pistons fans. The Steelers teams of the 70's were like that too. Do you think they cared what other teams of fans thought of their style of play. What has happened to Steelers fans of old? If the Steelers see the Titans again they can go out and beat them and use whatever they need to for motivation. I would think the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl will be much more of a motivation than "Revenge of the Towel". Hey, they can break a guitar or mandolin after the game if they win.The towel symbolizes the team. A lot of fans hate the Steelers because they win. The Steelers talk trash, their fans talk trash, it's part of the game. If it makes you feel better to get all hot and bothered because someone danced on the towel go for it, but if you think the history of the Steelers is that of proponents of civility and etiquette that's not what I remember.

Okay, I said it twice. Shoot me. It was worth mentioning. If you're going to put forth the effort, why not do it right? With that said, I realize now how silly this all is regarding the towel. It will be an exciting game if they should happen to meet again.
