We give 1 pt per reception and 1 pt per 20 yards return (1 pt per 10 yards a rush) - this guy consistently scores 10 points a week with upside of 20-25 pts in my leauge

He is a perfect flex option and was on the WW untill week 7.

Juicy matchup against a bad Denver RUN D has me starting him this week - can't wait

I'm in a league with a similar scoring format, I own Neon Leon, but I've yet to start him because I have Peterson and Chris Johnson. I picked him up in week 7 to play him week 8 during Peterson's bye only to foolishly bench him before kickoff in favor of BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Of course, he had a monster game that week.

You're right-- in ppr/return leagues, he's a steady point-producer at worst with the potential to drop huge points on your opponent in those games when he busts a long one. Over the last three weeks, Washington has outscored all but six RBs under my league scoring format, right ahead of Peterson. Wow.

Unfortunately, we don't play with a flex in my league so Leon's talents are wasted on my bench. He's a big reason I'll push for a change next year.

I almost picked him up before last week's games. Tried this week but I was too far down on the waiver order. He is going to blow up this week and I know he has SF and SEA coming up.

We start 3 RB's and I am stretching for a 3rd back this week, Hillis' matchup is a no-go, McGahee's matchup is cream but Balt is the new Denver. I'm already starting Peterson and Jones. I've held on to Mewelde waiting for Parker to show any signs of backing down again, and I think that'll be the guy I tag to start this week.

However, Leon's matchup this week seems like a prime time for him to have another exceptional game. My league doesn't give points for returns or he'd already be on a team and not our WW. I think the NYJ dominate this game and Washington will make his own opportunities again this week.

I'd have to bench Turner or Ronnie to play him...trying to figure out which to sit but there's no way I can keep him out of my lineup. Denver will score loads of points so he'll do well with the kick returns and their D is a joke so he should rip off some good runs against them as well.

So what to do if you have both Thomas Jones and Leon??? Im thinking of starting both? And sitting Westbrook???

I'm in the same exact situation as you. Right now, I have Westy and Jones in but that may change tomorrow.

He is the 9th ranked RB in our league over the last 6 weeks... He's outscored the likes of Portis, LT, Barber, MJD, Chris Johnson, Gore, Ronnie, and Westbrook during that period. And we don't count return yards or receptions (although we do count return TD's). Pretty impressive considering he's averaging 9 touches per game over that stretch (not including return touches).

At 5'8" and 202 pounds, he's similar in size to MJD, although he definitely doesn't seem to have the same body type. Still, does anyone think he'll ever be given a chance to get 15+ touches on a consistent basis? He's so dynamic, I think with that many touches he could be a solid RB2.

ETA: The 5'8" 202 is from MFL... FBG's has him listed at 5'9" 199. Not sure which is more accurate.

5'7" 190 is probably accurate. He lightning in a bottle when he touches the ball, but I'm wondering the same things. Will he ever be given the chance to be a full time RB in the NFL? And if so, can he handle the load?

I think it was 2 years ago in his rookie year. The Jets had lots of injury at RB and he was pretty much the main guy. He looked small. I think he may have been splitting carries with BJ Askew but he looked too small to handle the job alone.

I don't think he'll ever be your typical feature, workhorse-type, RB. But I still think he could play a role similar to what MJD plays for the Jags. I do know that when he touches the ball, he makes things happen, and I just hope that he is given the opportunity to touch the ball 15+ times per game - something 12 carries and 4 receptions per game.

I think Washington and Jones will both do well against Den. As I said I am still considering grabbing him off the WW to start as my RB3. For me, Mewelde is just as much a passing option out of the back as Washington is, but should have a rougher time running while recieving more guaranteed touches so I'm probably going to stick with something that seems like a "sure thing" but I would not doubt anybody who started Leon this week.

He is without question the most talented player on the Jets. May have to start him over Ronnie Brown.

This is also our scoring. He is an every week start. He's RB11 right now on the year, 1 point behind Tomlinson and ahead of guys like DeAngelo Williams, Slaton, Chris Johnson, Jacobs, etc.
