Just getting ready to draft him as my # 3 (32 Team IDP) & I saw this note by his name:

"(KFFL) Tony Grossi, of The Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports Cleveland Browns LB Leon Williams (neck) left the team's preseason game Monday, Aug. 18, with a neck injury."

Just wanted to know if anybody had knowledge of this situation.

He's not yet, since I have yet to draft him. The only other option is Donnie Edwards & I'm not sure he is starting either.I guess I should have said this is also an 8 keeper league with 8 rounds to draft making a roster of 16. 75 LBs are already gone.

According to a source close to Browns ILB Leon Williams, the linebacker suffered a "stinger" during Monday night's game against the New York Giants. At this point, Williams status for the upcoming pre-season game against the Detroit Lions is uncertain.

ETA- if Tony Grossi reports something on the Browns you can be sure of its validity.

Why is Leon your number 3? (I do understand you have a huge 32 team league, but still.)

BTW - Teams have two guys that wear headsets and they can't be on the field at the same time. So, the big "Uhh Ohh" is the fact that Leon Williams was the other player named to have the headset. So, what changed from last year...appears to be ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. A. Davis comes in for downs 1 & 2 if it's a normal base offense. If the Browns are facing 3 wr sets, Leon Williams comes in no matter what down. Thus, if they play any team that has 3 wr sets as it's normal package...Davis is on the sidelines getting you minimal points.So the real question might be What is A. Davis doing on any roster before Leon Williams? Last I checked, Leon Williams outscored A. Davis in every possible scoring for any league last year.

Next few options?

I went another way with that pick. Didn't have a DL yet so took Robert Mathis. At my next pick maybe a couple of these will still be available: (in VBD order per DD) Donnie Edwards, Leon Williams, Derrick Brooks, Leroy Hill. I wouldn't take another LB after these before I go DB. We are in the keeper rounds now. I asked about Leon first b/c he's the youngest. Hill is also young but plays outside.Anyway, thanks for the advice.
