Does Whitehurst have a real shot at being an effective starter down the road for the Hawks or was he just a Pete Carroll smoke screen? He seems to have the physical tools, but has he mentally grown and learned enough from Norv and Rivers to actually be productive when Hass goes down or is not re-signed next year?
Also, how does he rank up there with the rookie QB's as he most likely was not rostered in most dynasty leagues. I picked him up cheap in blind bid FA in one league and drafted him mid 3rd in another. Below is rookie draft of QB's in the league I drafted in. I took Whitehurst at 3.05 as both 3.06 and 3.07 are short on QB's and I exected either of them to take him.
2.01 - Bradford
2.03 - Clausen (A bit high I think, but Moore is his 2nd QB, so it makes sense)
3.05 - Whitehurst
3.06 - Tebow
3.07 - McCoy (Hass is his #2 QB)
