Ill start this off with 1 of mine. N. burleson will be #1 or 2 guys this year and finished last year with 9 TD'S. Should have a strong year.
Everyone liked Walker last preseason, but I'm afraid his knees aren't ready yet. I fear that his knees are shot.Mike Walker.

When the Jacksonville Jaguars made Mike Walker their third-round pick in the 2007 draft, few people outside of Central Florida knew much about him, much less what to expect. Despite catching 90 passes as a senior at UCF, Walker entered the NFL Draft without much fanfare, and was considered a project, being a little over one season removed from a torn ACL.
Despite Walker’s surgically repaired knee, he still reportedly ran a 4.35 40-yard dash at his Pro Day, a number that skeptics say was somehow inflated. Walker showed great route running abilities in college, very strong hands, and if he hadn’t suffered the knee injury, would likely have been a first-round pick, as many saw him as a better player than the Denver Broncos surprising number one receiver and former UCF teammate, Brandon Marshall.
Through the Jaguars mini-camps, and first two weeks of training camp last season, Mike Walker was more than impressive. He showed fluid movement, great hands and agility, and a tendency to make circus type of catches. Walker was clearly the Jaguars best receiver despite being a rookie, and fans and media alike were jumping on the 6’1”, 200 lb. receiver’s bandwagon, as he was envisioned to be the second coming of Jaguars great, Jimmy Smith.
The honeymoon ended abruptly for Walker, as his production tailed off in preseason games, and he wasn’t able to keep up a consistent practice schedule due to the lack of strength in his surgically repaired knee. With the emergence of seventh-round pick John Broussard, and the free agent acquisition of Dennis Northcutt to go along with former first-round picks Reggie Williams and Matt Jones, as well as the dependable Ernest Wilford, Walker’s presence wasn’t desperately needed, and the team decided to place him on the injured reserve to let his knee fully heal.
Walker had a clean-out procedure done on his knee a few months ago, and when asked if Walker would be ready for action, Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio said that he wasn’t able to go right now, but he was hopeful that the former Knight would be available for training camp. Walker spoke to reporters after the Jaguars voluntary workouts this week—
"I'm doing great, I'm feeling good," said Walker. "I had a little cleanup, a little scope. It was nothing serious. We just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything different than what we thought was in there.
"Everything looked good from the doctor's perspective and now it's just back to the basics."
Although Walker is no longer an unknown commodity in the minds of many Jaguars fans, as they remember the show that Walker put on last year in mini-camp. Walker will not have to be “the man” in 2008, or the savior of the Jaguars offense. Jacksonville set single-season franchise records in points scored (411), touchdowns (50), touchdown passes (28), and yards per play (5.6) without the talented youngster.
This season Walker will be in a completely different position and mindset. The Jaguars signed free agent wide receiver Jerry Porter to be their number one wide receiver, and Reggie Williams is coming off a franchise record 10 receiving touchdowns in 2007. The team still has Dennis Northcutt and Matt Jones to help carry the load, as well as former first-round pick Troy Williamson who was recently acquired. Walker will be able to begin his NFL career without fantastic expectations, and most importantly, with a healthy knee. The team can afford to bring Walker along slowly, and with all of the other weapons around him, he will likely not have to face many double-teams, at least early on. Walker will be able to begin his rookie year (even if it’s technically not his rookie year) playing with a rising star at quarterback, a fantastic running game, and some experienced talent around him at wide receiver. Expectations are low and the pressure should be off for Walker, as he is in a perfect position to succeed.
Give up on Matt Jones. As far as Jake Delhomme -MY* sleepers
QB:
Matt Moore - he's been discussed recently, but the mainstream will sleep on him, and I don't like Delhomme's chances to come back
Shaun Hill - Smith isn't the starter yet.
RB:
Chris Henry - White isn't special, Johnson isn't a power back.
Chis Perry - yes, again
WR:
Brad Smith - Might never be a top 30 WR, but I like his all around game and I think he'll be a bigger part of the offense this year
Matt Jones - Hope springs eternal
TE:
Tony Scheffler - not quite a sleeper any more.
Jeremy Shockey - underrated, maybe more so in "shark leagues" than the mainstream
* = players on my teams I'm higher on than others would (should?) be
I'm somewhat glad to hear he's recovering well, but I still don't expect him to play all 16 games even if he is playing well in camp.Obviously Delhomme will be the starter when he's healthy, so if we have to wait a little while on Moore, that's ok.JohnnyU said:Give up on Matt Jones. As far as Jake Delhomme --OZ- said:MY* sleepers

Panthers coach John Fox says Jake Delhomme (Tommy John surgery) "looked very, very good" while making 30- to 40-yard throws at minicamps over the weekend.
"His arm looks stronger than it has ever looked," Fox said. Delhomme added that he's "extremely pleased" with his recovery. Delhomme participated in only individual drills at minicamp. He will join team drills during June OTAs.

Wasn't ready for pre-camp, but Del Rio expects him to be ready by training camp.
Don't be stealin' my draft board, or we can take it outside!qb - Jake Delhommerb - Rudi Johnson - I believe injuries slowed him down more than he's finishedwr - Marvin Harrison - Maybe he has enough left for one more good yearte - Mercedes Lewis - Keeps getting better, but playing for Jacksonville who doesn't feature TEs, does hurt
I would go 100% the opposite. Jackson has far better skills across the board and IMO the Pats don't view Gaffney as an every down player. I expect Jackson to put up numbers similar to Stallworth last year.thecardiackid said:J. Gaffney WR NEGut feeling he keeps Jackson off the field in the Stallworth role, mainly due to him performing very well late in 07 even w/ Stallworth there.
Not sure how I come down on this, Gaffney was highly touted coming out of college, was a bumb in Houston and showed a little something last year. From ROTOWORLDI would go 100% the opposite. Tomase has been SO ACCURATE in his reporting of late . . .I agree with Paris. Jackson has way more upside potential than Gaffney does, even if at this point it looks like Gaffney will be the "starter."mdog1967 said:Not sure how I come down on this, Gaffney was highly touted coming out of college, was a bumb in Houston and showed a little something last year. From ROTOWORLDParis said:I would go 100% the opposite. "Patriots beat reporter John Tomase calls Jabar Gaffney an "entrenched starter" heading to the coming season.
Tomase says Chad Jackson and Kelley Washington will vie for fourth WR duties, with the loser possibly being inactive on game days. Washington likely has the edge due to his special teams value. Jackson should still get a long look in the pre-season. He's much more physically gifted than Gaffney."
Wishing for Jackson to take the field and having it actually happen are two entirely different things. Being physically gifted..... well that don't mean crap as a WR if your not on the field. Experience and Football Smarts are a lot more valuable.
So I would think the sleeper is Jackson, at this point Gaffney is a starter.
People can pick/draft whomever they want, but the signs are out there that Maroney will not be used any different than in his other two seasons. And NE is not done looking/adding RBs, so don't be surprised if Maroney is a disappointment again this year. Everyone is "imagining" a lot with Maroney, but the practical matter is that NE has not acted on other people's imaginations.RB: Lawrence Maroney. What if Brady gets blitzed 75% of the time on first and second down? They start pitching it to the RB in the flat, running draws, and running more generally. Maroney was 22-122-1 and 25-122-1 vs JAX and SD respectively in weeks 19 and 20. Yikes! No one is drafting him in the first round anymore, but he might finish in the top 10: imagine if he started getting some of the third down passes that currently go to Kevin Faulk, who will be 32 years old this year.
Dude. You couldn't be more wrong. The only talent he has is that he's fast. Other than that, he catches the ball like it's a flying, rabid wolverine.WR: (I know I said new names, but Bryant Johnson is the man here. Mike Martz + bad team + talented WR1 = big receiver numbers.) I'll throw in Troy Williamson here. Somebody has to. It is possible that the problem the last years with not with Williamson but with his QBs, and he'll finally be that legit #1 WR that Jacksonville's been searching for. Kids got talent.
agreed and Let's stop with the Mike Walker stuff people dude wont be on the field this year and even if he was, that Logjam is nastyDude. Not much word, but with the signing of Berrian and the way that Sidney Rice came on last year (as did Aundrae Allison) Wade will be the #3 option for sure, and likely won't improve much on his average numbers from last year. How about Bobby Wade? What is the word out of Minny?
If AJ is in the lineup, I think Walter will be an after thought. They have Jones and Andre Davis. IMO, he was last year's sleeper that will go too high this time around. One guy who his gotten zero attention is Kevin Walter. Sure he's beginning his 6th year, but he didn't play the first 3, basically 4. Last year he got 65/800/4 while Andre was pretty out for most of the year. Jacoby Jones is the only other threat to get some balls there at this time. News about AJ having a knee scoped made me think about him.
Sammy Morris will probably go much, much later than Maroney and put up very similar numbers.
You do know you can pick players not on your team, right? LOLCarter_Can_Fly said:I will play this game although I think my list looks more like a steals list than sleepers list.....OffenseQB- D. Anderson..... (in dynasty) Any time you can get a 24 year old probowl QB coming off a year where he threw 29 TD's as a borderline qb 1 you should be happy.RB- Leon Washignton..... This guy is the most dangerous player on his team with the ball in his hands and reminds a lot of Tiki Barber. He has a much improved offensive line and a 30 year old RB playing in front of him. This could be RBBC before seasons end and Leon could have an impact in fantasy not only for this season but for the future as well seeing as he is still 25.WR-Nate Burleson.... A 27 year old WR entering his prime and is in a perfect situation to perform now. He definitely has his flaws, but anytime you can draft a fantasy player as a WR 4 that already has a 1000 yard season to his name and 2 out of his 5 years in the NFL he has at least 9 td receptions you should be happy. He plays in a pass happy offense and his team teams starting RB this season is Julius Jones. TE-L.J Smith....Many people have written him off yet the Eagles just franchised him and he appears to be healthy. There is rumblings that for the Eagles red zone to be better they need LJ Smith healthy. TE 8 last year Heath Miller had 47 receptions out of the te spot. In Smith's previous 2 years he had 50 and 61 receptions respectively for a TE 11 finish and a TE 8 finish. DefenseLB- Justin Durant was LB 23 over the last 6 weeks of the NFL season last year and should win a starting role this year. This kid is a difference maker and Del Rio will unleash this play maker.DE/DT- Jovan Haye DE's dominate this position but Haye the top scoring DT last season finished as the 14th best fantasy scorer out of the DE/DT position. He is only 25 year old as well.DB/S- Cortland Finnegan... This guy gets a lot of tackles (95) last season and welcomed his role as the starter last year. He appears to be a solid DB and started all 16 games last season, nice work for a 24 year old corner. If he can add some int's to his game he will be fantasy gold. He only had one pick last year.
Ha ha of course I could, however, it was a lot more fun observing my roster to see who would slip in drafts and be bargains. I would be more then willing to do your roster too for the right priceYou do know you can pick players not on your team, right? You can probably pick him up off waivers in most leagues.
