Let's talk Randy Moss (1 Viewer)

I understand that TO and Moss are totally different styles of receivers, but weren't these same things being said about TO during his last yr in Dallas and last year? I know we casual fans like to feel like we know all about how a player looks and this and that, but honestly all it takes is one great FF game for everyone to do an about face. His top end speed isn't there anymore and the jump balls aren't coming as easily, but he still looks the part IMO as far as the way he runs his routes. Whether the titans have a qb that can get him the ball is another matter.I don't expect him to be a great FF wr this year. I think he'll do just enough to make you want to start him by catching a TD here and there. But to just write him off as the beginning of the end is premature IMO.
A lot of Dallas fans were saying he still looked good, but was dividing the locker room and they had enough pieces to move on without him.

To put this in perspective, he has fewer yards than Steve Breaston. And he's played in more games.
We can have all sorts of fun with this. He has fewer receptions and 100-yard games this season than Jordan Shipley. He also has fewer receptions in his last four games than Jordy Nelson.
Fun indeed! But I'm confused, you sure are doing an about-face on Moss. Just last week you were convinced he was a great start because the Titans (Fisher) would need to justify why they picked him up...by getting him the ball A LOT. So why the big change in opinion? Were you totally wrong, or no?

Of course if his name was Joe Schmo instead of "Randy Moss" he would've been dropped in most league but....

...at this point, I think he may indeed by a good buy low or just simply a good hold.

I hate having him b/c I can't bench him but this week, I think he delivers.

I had a bad feeling about the Phins game b/c Vontae Davis is a solid CB and the Phins double him and, most importantly, Kerry Collins' hand was just not right and he was tossing total ducks.

This week with WSH and a week of practice with VY, I think Moss finally has a good game - maybe even his first 100 yard game since week 10 of 2009.
that's precisely the problem. I don't feel like I can bench him but there's only so many times he can have have a bad game before it hurts your team.

In a PPR. I've been able to bench him, but probably have to play him with SSmith and Torain hurt, and unsure about Donald Brown. At this point I'm rolling with Burleson - at least he's good for a safe 5-7, 50-70.I have a better feeling about Moss this week - Washington looks like a team about to sink as Shanahan starts looking ahead to next year.
