Letterkenny (1 Viewer)

After a long hiatus from "You Can't Do That On Television" and "Degrassi Junior High", I'm ready for a new Canadian series. Sign me up.

Letterkenny is highly recommended by this Canadian.

If you haven't yet seen it, believe Hulu carries most of the seasons. So what are you waiting for? Pitter patter, let's get at 'er!

And if you have a problem with fine Canadian television entertainment, then you got a problem with me and I suggest you let that one marinate.
bet you love crushin' sandos, bro

my buddy mark, who is the exec producer of this show also has a series out called Bad Blood. It's about to be released globally

article here: https://www.thestar.com/entertainment/television/2018/11/20/citytvs-bad-blood-goes-global-on-netflix-on-dec-7.html?fbclid=IwAR156qopkxx-8RgrdzJAFno6iRJ68mK6TGbDbP5ThVYZVQoFlW2w2lnkXlA

fyi: bad blood is NOTHING like letterkenny... but it does star Kim Coates from SOA as a main character.

nice to see a "small town boy" make it big with these shows. he's grinding and making things happen.

ps: Puppers beer (from letterkenny) is a REAL thing here in Canada now... and the have pop up shops where you bring your dog and they print their face on the label   it's fantastic. the actual beer is sold here too
Bad Blood was a little cheesy imo, but I'm a sucker for anything about the mafia so I watched and for the most part liked it.

Season 7 out on Hulu; first 2 were good but the 3rd one had me dying. Oh and miss Katie and Bonnie McMurray

Just discovered this show and love it. Have to use subtitles because of all the Canadian slang....

Canadian FBGs - is the slang used in the show actually used IRL?

Yes and no.  I’m familiar with all of it but don’t often hear it.  I’m a gen x’er though.

Damn, you guys are spare parts bud.

How is this thread so quiet? Wake the hell up and give yer balls a tug.

Just can't make the Hulu plunge for yet another $15/mo. subscription.  I have watched as much as I can find on the internet and love this show.

I did just get the first two seasons on DVD from the library - will likely plow through them this weekend.

Maybe give up Netflix or something for a month? You can seriously run through these pretty quick. It's WELL worth it, imo.

But yeah, I have Netflix, Hulu and Prime plus Disney, though only pay for two (pay for Prime but use their full suite of services, not just streaming)

We are on our way to getting piecemealed to death with programming costs.

We've got Direct TV, Netflix, Prime, ESPN Plus and Spotify Family.  The family wants Hulu, HBO, Showtime, and to up the ESPN Plus with the Disney thing.

I just said enough.  Though I will probably see if I can get the 3-6mo free movie channels when I do battle with Direct TV again this summer.

IF there is a Direct TV.  Heard AT&T is only going to offer it in rural areas (hey, Listowel) soon, and may spin off and merge with Dish.  I cut the cord on Dtv and cable a couple years back, it's awesome.  I subscribe to what I want, when I want, month by month, on Sling.

This show is great

just finished Easter Egg Hunt last night, probably will take me a few more weeks to wrap up the rest of the seasons

This show is so f'ing funny still in 2023, so I'll bump this.
Right now all episodes are on Hulu, they're about 24 minutes long, and you may hurt your ribs laughing.
So pitter patter, get at 'er. Remember the Agricultural Hall is for Agricultural Music. And watch out for the degens from upcountry.

I've been trying to find this for a decent price on DVD, to keep in my trailer. Its still pretty spendy.....patiently waiting

I think I had my expectations set a little too high for this one. The first season was pretty good, but it wasn't in the same tier as Sunny or Curb.

watched the first 3 episodes. love some parts meh on others.....

Will definitely keep it in the rotation for now

The hockey bros are definitely my guys :lmao:
