IMO Rudi knows he is getting cut should a trade not happen. I wouldn't expect to see too much out of him on Thursday.

I dunno, the guy had some early success but looks horrible the last couple of years. He has the talent but can't keep his team in line. At all.

Why not? As long as they fall forward, they're bound to pass the 2.something ypc Rudi had last year.

Now that Perry is healthy for the first time in years, he's the starter due to Rudi Johnson having:

1. A very subpar season for him last year: only getting 4 TD's and 607 yards from scrimmage.

2. A lingering hammy injury.3. A large contract.

IIRC, same problem as last year but the other leg. Maybe he wasn't stretching enough as he bulked back up this offseason. BTW, where are those people who were talking about how he was going to rebound in '08 and return to form? I seem to recall something about that he realized what a mistake it was to loose weight last season and he was bulking up so he could take the abuse and stay healthy this season.

Apparently he thinks he'd net something in a trade, though (we doubt it). "It's always something every year. They've been trying to get me out of here for a long time now," Johnson said, adding that a trade could happen "any minute now." "It's already been decided; the (fourth preseason) game is irrelevant."
