Likely Waiver Wire WR's To Grab After Week 1? (1 Viewer)

Footballguy
The first week of waiver claims is going to be quite a rush after today's and Monday's results are in, just wondering if anyone thinks there is anyone missing off this list of potential WR's who might emerge after Week 1 and/or who is most likely to have a great stat line today? {No, my primary league (actually all of them) does not permit adds/drops yet so just building a list and looking forward here}.

Player % owned (CBS)

Amendola, Danny WR STL 7

Camarillo, Greg WR MIN 13

Collie, Austin WR IND 61

Cruz, Victor WR NYG 4

Douglas, Harry WR ATL 2

Heyward-Bey, Darrius WR OAK 11

Jones, James WR GB 18

McCluster, Dexter WR KC 49

Murphy, Louis WR OAK 32

Naanee, Legedu WR SD 22

Robinson, Laurent WR STL 31

Royal, Eddie WR DEN 62

Thomas, Mike WR JAC 12

Williams, Mike WR SEA 46

Williams, Mike WR TB 74

I'm putting these 2 guys in because I found it interesting that both Braylon Edwards and Santonio Holmes went undrafted in 10 & 12% of all CBS leagues this year. That's a surprisingly high number to me, even if Holmes is out for 4 games.

Edwards, Braylon WR NYJ 88

Holmes, Santonio WR NYJ 90

Personally, I still have a hard time picturing Seattle Mike Williams becoming a legit receiver; let's see it happen. So I have had Laurent Robinson, Louis Murphy, and Tampa Mike Williams as most likely to be at the top of this list on Tuesday.

It's a longshot, but I've heard that the Vikings may bring back Javon Walker. They just cut him to avoid paying a guaranteed contract. The way their offense looked, I'm thinking if they do sign him, he may get some decent looks in the coming weeks - at least until Rice comes back (if he does at all).

Some WRs off the top of my head to watch for:

Jacoby Jones (he should NOT be on the WW unless the league has small rosters)

Deion Branch / Mike Williams / Deon Butler (one of these three HAS to emerge, right?)

Mike Thomas (hard time believing he's on the WW in most leagues though)

Brandon LaFell (reportedly starting opposite Steve Smith today)

Harry Douglas (Jenkins not ready, Douglas flying under the radar)

Emmanuel Sanders (Randle-El is #3, but watch to see how many snaps Sanders gets, don't waster your time on Randle-El)

Josh Cribbs (if the Browns utilize him, he could end up being more valuable than expected as a slot WR, etc)

Sammie Stroughter (Yeh, I love Mike Williams, but I think Stroughter will surprise and be targeted more, PPR sleeper)

Eric Decker (he could be the team's 2nd best WR by end of season)

John Matthews (fresh of the PS, Dillard on IR, how much will the Jags use 3 WR sets?)

Steve Johnson (can he get enough targets to matter? Roscoe Parrish? Don't like the situation at all, but..)

Justin Gage (he hasn't played much lately due to injury, but he had red zone appeal)

Jordan Shipley (he could end up being targeted more often than we think.. )

Brandon Tate (especially if you're a little cynical of the Wes Welker hype - re: Waldman's article, I'm with you, Matt)

Stephen Williams (he could ascend to the #2 with a little luck/injury, high upside, also watch for Early Doucet)

Mark Clayton (nothing special, mostly underwhelming in Baltimore, but could he make something happen w/ the Rams?

Danny Amendola (PPR potential as Bradford's possession WR)

Anthony Armstrong / Joey Galloway (Shanahan's mind games at work with the WR depth chart, tonight's game is the 1st test)

Patrick Crayton (or Naannee, but someone has to catch balls besides Gates, Floyd and presumably Mathews/Sproles)

And finally.. Jeremy Horne (I wrote about him in the Camp Reports, call me crazy, but I like his long-term potential. Like Stephen Williams, with a few turns of lady luck, he could wind up getting a shot at WR2 for the Chiefs. Transferred from Syracuse to UMass and produced solid numbers opposite Victor Cruz. He made the Chiefs roster as a special teams gunner, who also showed some promise early in camp. He earned some reps with 1s, caught a TD in the preseason, and now with McCluster likely out today, he could come out of nowhere to catch a few balls and maybe surprise. Crazier things have happened.

Horne's measurable meet the WR criteria for "sleeperdom": 6'2", 200 lbs, sub 4.5 40 (4.39 - 4.42 range), hard worker, special teams contributor, good character, opportunity may/may not be there, etc. From what I can gather via Google/etc his background is intriguing and I'm in stashing him in dynasty/keeper leagues where I'm able to do so.

Yep, Williams is getting all the love but Stroughter may be the Buc's WR to own for this season considering MW is a rookie.
