We have a 12 team league and our current lineup requirement is:

2 QB

1 RB

1 WR

2 Flex (RB/WR)

1 TE

1 PK

1 DEF

We also allow teams to start an additional RB/WR/TE if a team only has 2 starting QBs and 1 is on a bye.

Our scoring is 4 pts for all TDs, 1 per 10 rush/rec, 1 per 20 pass, 1 pt per rec.

Any thoughts on this? Ways to improve?

Don't know if I can help but I am in two 16 team leagues requirements are:

1 QB

2 RB

2 WR

1 TE

1 K

1 D

My personal preferences. YMMV.Add a 2nd TE. This will help make them more than an afterthought after the first 2 or 3. You could even bump their reception points by an additional .5 on top of the 2nd TE slot. Add another required WR. There's plenty of WRs out there... my league starts 5 and there isn't a shortage of starters and depth. The extra WR will help bring it closer to being on par with QB and RB in value, though they'll probably still fall short.Edit to add: And why not kick out the team defense and use some IDPS!

I added a twist to the Starting Lineup Options for the League I run last year that the Owners really liked.

12-Team League...

*****

From the Owner's Packet:

The Option Attack:

Weekly Starting Lineups will contain NINE spots:

All teams are REQUIRED to start:

1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1PK, 1D/ST (my guys aren't into IDP...at least not yet!!!)

In addition you will be able to start not one, but TWO flex players, at any position, with the exception of PK and D/ST (QB, RB, WR and TE)

Here's the twist: You CANNOT 'double them up'!!!

Notice that under these parameters, it's impossible to start a lineup with more than 2 RB. It IS possible however, to start 2QB's, which adds a very competitive twist, and all in all, there are 6 possible lineup combinations which should theoretically allow every team to field a competitive team on a weekly basis, as you'll be allowed to tap from your strengths and matchups, and not be forced to watch players you might have previously been forced to bench outperform the starters you chose, especially at the QB and TE positions. Here are the permutations:

1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE

1QB, 1RB, 3WR, 2TE

1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 2TE

2QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE

2QB, 1RB, 3WR, 1TE

2QB, 1RB, 2WR, 2TE

Start strategizing now - As you all know, a major key in the Crowning of a Champion is applying a thorough knowledge of both Lineup Options and the Scoring System to your Drafting Strategy!!!

Nothing earth-shaking here, just the idea that you can flex over 4 positions and can't 'double up' your flexes on any one position - you have to spread them out over two...

Apologies for not being able to offer a link to the Draft Report, but we drafted live, after which I input the rosters, and I went and chucked the Draft Board during 'Spring Cleaning'...

...we're scheduled to live draft on Tuesday, August 29 - it's going to be a little late for most by then, but I'll post the Draft here afterwards if anyone is interested to see how things shake out...

Thanks guys, interesting ideas. I may implement some of these. I'm not sure I like dropping the QB back to only requiring 1. Doesn't that devalue the QBs too much?
