For spherical cow purposes, let's just define this as:
- You have one offensive player on the team getting the ball
- It is a "fantasy-relevant" player
- I realize position would make a difference, but let's say it is a random, unknown position (QB/RB/WR/TE)
- You want this player to score as many points as possible on this drive You want to maximize the player's expected points
- PPR, 0.1/rush yd, 0.1/rec yd, 1/25 pass yd, 6 pt all TD, yada yada yada

Which of these is the best place for the team to take possession?

This makes the choice obvious. The longer the field, the more points you can score.

Harder to score a td though
But from the 1, the most you can score on that specific drive is 7.1 pts, if it's full PPR. Unless you are assuming penalties will drive you back further. From your own 5 yd line, you have the possibility to score 54.5 points enroute to a TD.

But you chances of scoring that are low.

Say 10% - so expected points would be 5.45 points

Say 90% chance of scoring from the 1 - 6.3 points.

The 54.5 point case is definitely closer to 0.000001%.

I first answered before the OP edited the post. The original question was, "You want this player to score as many points as possible on this drive". Technically you can catch 39 passes and score on your 40th reception.

My original wording was a little vague. I suppose if you take it absolutely literally, it would mean "if he doesn't score the absolute maximum points possible on a single drive, nothing else matters, it's a failure." But that is definitely not how I meant it.
