I think it was here where I was reading an article on RB age vs. the number of carries they have in their career. Anybody know the link to that article? Tried the search function but no luck.

I don't think I ever did an article on this, although I have researched it. I found that 31is geberally not a great age for RB. SImilarly, 2500 career touches is another milestone that bad things tend to happen much beyond that.

Thanks for the links but there definitely was an article on this, it talked a lot about Tiki and Bettis as the main people of comparison.
 
Is anyone getting to 2500 touches before age 31 anyway?
Chronological age as of September 2006:Barber 31 yr 5 moJames 28 yr 1 moLT 27 yr 2 moPortis 25 yr 0 moCombined number of regular season rushes and receptions:James 2544 over 96 games (26.50 touches per game)Barber 2417 over 138 games (17.52 touches per game)LT 2044 over 79 games (25.87 touches per game)Portis 1399 touches in 60 games (23.32 touches per game)Edge and Barber are nearly the same "football" age despite being more than 3 years difference chronologically.Tomlinson could hit 2500 touches by the end of this season at 27 yr 6 moPortis could hit 2500 touches by the end of the 2008 season at 27 yr 4 mo, although 2009 is more likely especially with his injury
