Lions at Bears (1 Viewer)

Hasn't the Lions secondary been decimated for like five years?
yep. unreal bad luck. every year all the starters get hurt, then their replacements get hurt, then we sign some ice cream truck drivers to play CB.
Their starters are not good either imo... its been a very very neglected position that spans well into the Millen era
Houston is fine...and Bentley has showed promise as a rookie. problem is they haven't played in the same game together yet.

2nd a 1 and you throw twice and get nothing. Your defense is gased and its only the end of the first. Get a ####### first down.

why send Calvin deep on 3rd and 1? should be an automatic first with him on a slant and a high throw. indefensible.

I disagree, Houston is average and Bentley is a third rd CB that should not be depending on starting. This team has had a patchwork of DBs for yrs trying to depend on castoffs and mid to low rd picks without success.

I thought that an illegal block in the back couldn't be called on the kicking team. I recall when Harbaugh convinced the replacement refs to pick up the flag when it was called against them.

What is the definition of a horsecollar, exactly?
(d) grabbing the inside collar of the back of the shoulder pads or jersey, or the inside collar of the side of

the shoulder pads or jersey, and immediately pulling down the runner. This does not apply to a runner

who is in the tackle box or to a quarterback who is in the pocket.

Note: It is not necessary for a player to pull the runner completely to the ground in order for the act to be illegal.

If his knees are buckled by the action, it is a foul, even if the runner is not pulled completely to the ground.

Thanks. So, in this case, where the CB was already pulling the runner down before his hand slid inside the pads, does that make it legal?

Nope, still illegal. Even if you've got some other grasp on him as well, if you use it to pull him down it's illegal.

Tigers rotation:

Game 1 @ SF - Justin Verlander

Game 1 @ SF - Doug Fister

Game 3 Comerica Park - Anibal Sanchez

Game 4 Comerica Park - Max Scherzer

Game 4 Comerica Park - JV (if necessary)
