Bad decision I think. I suppose the money they gave Clemons up front caused this to happen. No way he outplayed him in the preseason games for sure, as Clemons didn't do squat all camp. McDougle had been a walking injury prior to this season but I think he'll get picked up. Pass rushers are a commodity. Bad move Philly.

I thought this would be an interesting topic in general and for FF to be able to make some nice waiver wire pickups.

I was surprised to see some of the cuts (just to name a few) like:

Dre Moore, DT, Tampa Bay - I thought they really liked this young prospect?

Ahmad Brooks, LB, Cincinnati - if you can't find a roster spot on a team with such a depleted LB-corps you can't be great huh?

Stanley McClover, DE, Carolina - Some said he was in the mix for playing time opposite Peppers...

Michael Okwo, LB, Chicago - ??? I guess he wasn't the next coming of Briggs after all

Fernando Bryant and Jason Webster, CBs, New England - I certainly hope my Pats know what they're doing by playing a group of 7-year olds at CB...

Calvin Lowry, S, Tennessee - Another guy I thought they liked for the future

Monate Reagor, DT, Philadelphia - Doesn't Jim Johnson like to carry 12 DTs...

My guy in New England is telling me that the Patriots will likely re-sign John Lynch in the next week or so as to not have to guarantee his salary. Lynch signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal and if he's on the roster Monday, his salary is guaranteed for the entire season.

The cash-strapped Patriots need help at cornerback and are trying to free up some money....
