Little Kids Get Owned In This Thread (1 Viewer)

What is our re-posting rate at now, 15%? How many pages before every other one is one we have seen before? That said, I may be confusing some with shows like Ridiculousness. I have seen many of those clips posted in here.
Say's the person that hasn't added much to the thread.
hey, ive contributed and i agree.

this is a job for statorma. :ninja:
Relax, wouldn't be in here if I didn't really enjoy this thread. I watched that fat guy have heart attack going up that ramp a zillion times.OK, here you go: Science Teacher after an axe to the balls since someone asked what happened next. I'm pretty sure I've read all the posts, so hopefully I didn't re-post something.
No way im giving that guy a second swing. Its swap places time.
WTF is the point of this experiment?
There are actually a few concepts demonstrated by this...

1. Inertia - The cinder block has a fairly large inertia (mass) which naturally resists changes in motion. The block is at rest, and naturally should remain at rest. When it does experience a force, the acceleration will be fairly small, thus sparing the precious life beneath.

2. Pressure/Distribution of force - Although a bed of nails looks rather imposing, if there are enough nails, the force is distributed such that no single nail should exert enough force to puncture the skin. Try this with a single nail, and the weight of the block alone would be enough to impale the subject lying below. Several nails, however, can handle not only the weight of the block but the additional impulse from the hammer swing. This guy's bed of nails is too small, IMO.

3. Impulse - Traveling through the cinder block actually lengthens the stopping time of the hammer. Impulse, or change in momentum, is the product of force and time. By lengthening the time to bring the hammer to a stop, the amount of force necessary to stop it is reduced. By Newton's 3rd law, if the force on the hammer is reduced, then the force force on the block (and in turn the nails/man) is reduced compared to say simply hitting the bed of nails without a cinder block on it.

It is actually a fun and informative demo when done safely, but clearly there are risks.
I would imagine in the year 2015 people are smart enough to figure out a different way to show this experiment.

Then again, maybe not. We are getting dumber as a whole

I think she might be blind. Special Olympics type thing.
Why did you have to ruin that for me.? You are removed from my statement above.
Blind people can be idiots too. Makes the video funnier when I imagine that she is blind.
