Lost this week by 9 points. Could have won if we played either Peterson (started Brown instead) or Wilson (played Mahomes instead). Still having trouble getting any production out of our weak stable of RB's. Now technically in 7th place (Top 6 make the playoffs). Mark Walton is available, but I am not sure there is a ton of upside from a MI running back.@Anarchy99 how's it going?
That's too bad. They'll do better. Keep competing.Lost this week by 9 points. Could have won if we played either Peterson (started Brown instead) or Wilson (played Mahomes instead). At least half the league has sketchy QB situations, so we tried shopping either Mahomes or Wilson to get a decent RB back. Not even worth listing the low ball offers in the limited interest we had from teams. Hopkins and OBJ have been disappointing so far, so if we don't get good numbers from them we are going to struggle.
We play one of two undefeated teams (and the highest scoring team in the league) this week and that team has no one on bye. Not hopeful this week.
Updated roster . . .
Mahomes, Wilson
Gordon, Peterson, Brown, Cohen, Mostert, Darrel Williams
Hopkins, OBJ, Fitzgerald, Crowder
Hooper, Ebron
Zuerlein
Bears, Saints
Damn.Had almost a 20 point lead and Crowder playing in MNF last night. But was up against the NE DEF. Lost by a point. Down to 3-4 and 9th place.
Couldn't get him. He was swooped up by a team with a higher waiver claim. Roster still is:Did you get a shot at Ty Johnson by chance? Sorry if this has been answered a few pages back, I'm hoping someone can get me up to speed in a sentence or two.
Bots loved the Bears/Saints combo, apparently. The one guy that let the bot draft in one of our leagues has it.Bears, Saints
9th place at 4-6. Typical fantasy team roster management issues. Either start the wrong guy or face a player on the other team that blows up.Update?
Oddly enough, it's been the QB's and WR's that have been the problem. We end up playing the wrong QB most of the time, and the WR's either all do well or all underperform the same week. The RB's have not been productive enough to be able to post a big game to make up the difference. We went from horrible RB numbers to ok RB numbers, but we aren't going to catch a team starting CMC, as an example, when it comes to RB scoring. Bottom line, given the RB scoring issues, we have been middle of the league in terms of total points scored, which most weeks is not going to win a lot of fantasy games.Breida may miss time, according to Roto, and if so, Mostert steps in as a viable play.
Interesting. Odell hasn't had a great year. Too bad you had to give up Evans in a deal (IIRC). He's WR2 overall in PPR scoring.Oddly enough, it's been the QB's and WR's that have been the problem. will you stay in the league?Haven't given an update in a while. At one point this team was 3-2. But it could only muster one win the rest of the way. Finished tied for last place at 4-10. It was an uphill battle that could not have been won. Thanks to all those that followed along, provided suggestions, or otherwise provided moral support.
Technically, it was my son's team. I asked him about it recently and he said he "probably" wouldn't come back next year . . . but he didn't sound all that convincing.will you stay in the league?
