 This will be funny to nobody but me - but my younger daughter is on an Amazing Race kick - watching old seasons.  The other night, she and my wife were watching an episode where the teams were in Liverpool, and in fact at Anfield where they had to make penalties against a couple of youth keepers.  So, they call me in because it has to do with soccer, and as soon as I see they are at Liverpool, I just laugh, and say I hate Liverpool and I won't want to watch.  But I did stay long enough to make fun of the teams attempting to kick soccer balls while dressed as full-kit wankers...

What kind of person hates Liverpool?

 
Time to vote.  Should we name the award for Liverpool youngster who irrationally excites Gator before turning out to suck the "Lazar Markovic Award" or the "Jordan Ibe Award"?  Maybe just skip to 2018 and call it the Marko Grujuc Award?

I think the Serbian Messi fits.  Gator got me excited for him way back in the summer of '14.  He was my first soccer flop.

It happened with Ibe, Lazar and Marko I haven't slobbered over.

So my Vote is the Jordan Ibe Award

He was electric at Benfica and doesn't really count as a 'youth that I overrated'

He was very highly rated at Benfica and I saw more of him than most, so i was pretty pumped when Liverpool bought him. Didn't work out and I blame Rodgers for playing at WB.  

 
I've never been able to find it, but I always loved owen's rubbing hands together goal celebration. but yeah, nachos doing the robot is sublime. riise's shirt over the face slide is a goody too. by goody, I mean horrible.
