LJ this week (1 Viewer)

I realize that LJ had a couple descent games before the bye vs OAK and CIN, but those teams were ranked 30th and 28th (respectively) vs the run. He's had some very bad games (23yrs vs JAX, 42yrs vs MIN) vs some very good run defences. The only good game that LJ had was against SD (7th vs the run). His only other game was vs CHI (26th vs the run) and was held to 55yrs.

Green Bay has held the their last 3 opponents best RB to 81yrs (Selvin Young), 64yrds (Portis), and 64yrs (Benson). GB held LT to 62yrs and Westbrook to 85yrs in the opener. GB has only allowed 2 rushing TDs this year. The only RB to have success against the GB was Peterson who had 112yrs in week 4.

So I have to ask, why is LJ ranked so high this week? Does everyone have that much faith that Herm Edwards has been able to fix the KC running woes during their bye week? :pickle:

You make a good point but I think there are more factors besides opposing run defenses. The chiefs couldn't run the ball against anyone in the begining of the year. Their offense was pathetic. Now with the emergence of a viable recieving threat in Bowe and with a slightly improved passing game, the chiefs running game has improved. I think LJ is good for 80 yards and a TD this week but if the Chiefs are going to beat the Pack they are going to have to throw the ball.

 Chiefs are playing better and playing at home, Young, Portis, and Benson should not have been mentioned here as this group COMBINED does not have the talent of LJ. Asking this question is kind of like why LT is ranked as high as he is this weekend against the Vikes. It's the same answer for both. They are just that good, despite what the run defense stats look like.

LT is ranked #1 this week, against the Vikings, I believe the Vikings are #1, 2 or 3 against the run. Maybe included in rankings is talent. Just because Benson doesn't do well against a particular team doesn't mean LT, LJ won't have success.

Damn  and exactly what I posted in my response.

Ae you a LJ owner? If so and you like the ranking..then start him, if not then bench him. If you don`t own him..who cares?

:goodposting: Actually this is the post of the year by far.

I do think talent makes a difference; however, a strong defense is a strong defense....plus, there are more players over there....11 trying to tackle 1.......lol

I reflect back to one of my Superbowl matches last year....FWP....22 yards against Baltimore's D. I would venture to say FWP had a good year last year and also has talent (maybe not as much, but not too far off).

I think the projections may be slightly inflated....

I typically don't engage in the "why is X ranked to high/low". But I have to agree here. LJ hasn't done squat v. a good run D all year and it's his OL, not his talent, that's killing him.

I'll bench him in favor of ADP until he shows he can do something against a good team.
