The Broncos are getting creamed out there. Orton is failing to inspire confidence. This appears to be a situation ripe for a change. Why is anyone assuming Tebow will be taking over anything?
Sadly, I don't think it matters. It's pretty clear that Fox doesn't think he can play. The Broncos are getting creamed out there. Orton is failing to inspire confidence. This appears to be a situation ripe for a change. Why is anyone assuming Tebow will be taking over anything?
Exactly my point. The staff members whom drafted Tebow no longer work in Denver. The Broncos issues aren't on that side of the ball.Sadly, I don't think it matters. Tebow will get his chance this season. It's a lock. When is the only question. Why is anyone assuming Tebow will be taking over anything?
Just sold Decker/Sproles for McCluster/MathewsAnyone selling high on Decker if so what can you reasonably expect?
I wouldn't bet on it.Tebow will get his chance this season. It's a lock. When is the only question. Why is anyone assuming Tebow will be taking over anything?
Probably. Also because a search of "Llyod" would have answered your question and because Resident A gave you the factual response based on last year's games. Wasn't that enough?2 is all I get? Is this because I posted in the wrong forum? Thanks to those who responded - I appreciate it.
Exactly. It's not like starting a thread entitles you to a certain number of replies. If you want replies, start a thread that is general enough and provocative enough to be interesting to a wide range of people. What we have here is a completely unveiled "should I make this trade?" thread that 1) is too specific to be of much interest to most posters here and 2) really belongs in the ACF. You're lucky that you got the responses you did before the thread was either locked or moved.I'm honestly not trying to be a ####, but like the previous poster said, what more do you want?Probably. While it is true that most of the Bronco's issues are not on that side of the ball the team still must think about next season at a certain point. Odds are that they will lose to San Diego and be sitting at 1-4 going into the bye week. At a certain point if you are going to lose anyway you might as well see what the kid has so that you can go into the draft next year with a better idea of the talent on the roster.Exactly my point. I think that the DEN coaching staff already believes that Tebow isn't going to be a good NFL QB, and they will be cutting their losses and moving on. Why play him if they don't think he's the future? While it is true that most of the Bronco's issues are not on that side of the ball the team still must think about next season at a certain point. Orton and Quinn are FAs after the season. It would be foolish to not see if Tebow can play.I wouldn't bet on it.Tebow will get his chance this season. It's a lock. When is the only question. Why is anyone assuming Tebow will be taking over anything?
I suppose it would depend on if they think Orton is in the future plans as well. If neither are why not give the shot to the younger player who will bring in much more attention and create a ton of buzz. Worst case scenario he falls flat on his face an they lose, which they are already doing.I think that the DEN coaching staff already believes that Tebow isn't going to be a good NFL QB, and they will be cutting their losses and moving on. Unless Tebow can play defense, I don't he's gonna make a difference on that team right now...The Broncos are getting creamed out there. Orton is failing to inspire confidence. This appears to be a situation ripe for a change. Why is anyone assuming Tebow will be taking over anything?
Disagree that the offense cannot support two starting WRs. So far this season, Decker and Lloyd have combined to account for 56% of Orton's passing yards, 46% of Orton's targets, 45% of his completions, and 50% of his TDs (all to Decker, or course). And that is not taking Lloyd's injury during the game in week 1 or his absence in week 2 into account.Their combined total projects out to 152/2132/16. With a 50/50 split in points that would net them 231 points each in PPR, good for #12 and #13 last year. With a 60/40 split in points, net of 276 and 185 good for #5 and #28 last year. Now, perhaps you are projecting a downturn in Denver's offensive projection which is certainly possible (although it seems likely they will be playing a lot of catch-up this year). But even if you project a 20% decrease in productivity moving forward across the board, they still project out as low-end WR2's with a 50/50 split. In sum, no guarantees in life, but I would not discount the possibility they will both be very fantasy relevant for the rest of the year...Decker appears to be the main guy in the red zone and overall. Lloyd is going to be feast or famine depending on how many deep looks he gets each week. Lloyd seems like a sell right now... that offense cant support two starting fantasy WR's.
