Long-ball WR's (1 Viewer)

In the August 12 Audible, Sigmund Bloom commented that in league's that heavily rewarded long-ball TD's he'd move DeSean Jackson up to as high as #5 on his WR list. That got me thinking who else would move up to a higher position than you'd expect him to be in such a league. Of course, Moss would be on that list and maybe Garcon and CJ. I'd love to know who you think should be on that list.

For young guys who are big deep threats, I'd look at Mike Wallace and Hakeem Nicks to be moved up in that scenario. For more established players, guys like Greg Jennings, Miles Austin, Steve Smith, and Malcolm Floyd would get a nice bump.

Anyone with high yards per reception 15.0 and higher. Here's WRs who averaged 15.0 yards per catch or more in the last two years with at least 80 total recs (40 per year).

Kind of shocked to see Colston in this list. He always seems to under perform in distance scorning leagues. He must get his ypc between the 20's because he doesn't seem to get long TD scores.

Using PFR's Player Touchdown Finder, here is a list of players with the most 30+ yard receiving touchdowns over the past two seasons. Top 10 are

8 Terrell Owens

7 Miles Austin

7 Bernard Berrian

7 DeSean Jackson

7 Calvin Johnson

7 Robert Meachem

7 Steve Smith (Car)

7 Roddy White

6 Antonio Bryant

6 Randy Moss

DeSean Jackson did that all in one season, and Nicks and Wallace also had 4 each in a single season.

Not a WR, but didn't V. Davis have a lot of long receptions last year? I know he did in comparison to TEs but he may have even been in line with some top WR as well.
