Long-term dynasty buys. Whatcha got? (1 Viewer)

TINO went over some of the high-impact draft picks in this draft, but I was tired from work and fell asleep on the commuter bus. I don't think I'm going to re-listen, I'm sure they'll cover it all again soon.

I was at the Reading Phillies-Erie Seawolves (DET) game yesterday.

Steven Moya is a monstrous rightfielder (6'6, 232) who absolutely obliterated a ball for a 2-run homer (admittedly off of a seemingly weak RP, though he was an 8th-round pick in 2011, FWIW). It was his 34th of the year and gave him 101 RBIs. He's got an ISO of .275 this year to go along with 15 SB. And he had a couple pretty nice throws to home plate.

Downside is that he has a 29% K rate to just 3.9% BB. But he has tremendous power.

I also liked the way Dixon Machado (SS) looked for the Tigers, but I don't know that he will be a great fantasy asset.

Aaron Nola (the 7th pick in this year's draft for the Phillies) looked decent. Had one tough inning, but fought through it and gave up 1 run in 5 innings. Good control and command. Wish I had realized where the pitch speed was shown while he was still in the game.

Nothing else for the Phillies. The most exciting thing is that their 2B is Kiko Alonso's brother.

Moya is available in my league that rosters 150ish prospects. I need to replace Jesus Aguilar who I just obtained in a trade and really doesn't need to be rostered. Wish there was more hype on Vargas before his callup...unless I missed it. Those are the guys I'm looking for. What level is Moya in?

Leading the AA Eastern League in Homers

I realize this thread has mostly been about prospects, but Alex Cobb is a major buy in dyna for me. Has had enough issues this yr to make him available for trade, but love his combo of stuff, deception, and team. Fantasy #1 or 2 sooner rather than later IMO.

Bump for 2015.

Orlando Arcia is one to watch. 20-year-old Brewers SS prospect doing 458/518/646 in AA. He's near the bottom of most top 100 lists right now but I expect he'll make a big leap.
