Looking for Guidance - Increasing league size & add superflex (1 Viewer)

I am the commissioner of a 10 team dynasty league.  It is set-up on the RSO platform and has been around for 2 seasons.  The members are asking to expand the league to a 12 or possibly even 1 team league.  I am unsure of how to go about that.  I have been a part of leagues that have downsized from 16 to 12 but never increased.  As you know, RSO is a salary cap league.  The roster at this time is 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 2 FLEX WR/RB/TE, 1 DT, 2 DE, 3 LB, 2 DEF FLEX with deep bench of 20 spots.  The members also want to make this a superflex league.  I'd appreciate any direction/advice from anybody has has done this.....

This one is easy...just don't send invites to anyone else!

Seriously, expanding a dynasty is tricky.  Some sort of expansion draft, where teams protect a set # of players, and can lose a handful of players to the incoming squads may be typical, but is generally unpopular.  Owners get attached to their guys, and long-term strategies can be disrupted by untimely losses to expansion drafting.

Because you have a salary cap league, it's likely going to be easier to get guys up to speed though.  Maybe offer an "amnesty" to existing owners to dump unwieldy contracts, and let the new squads sign those guys for lower market values.  Give the newcomers first crack at rookie talent.

Don't think there is going to be a perfect answer, but since your ownership wants it, they are no doubt willing to absorb some of the cost of making the shift.
