Looking for some insight on several defensive players (1 Viewer)

Not sure what to think of some of these player's future value, so I am looking for some insight from the sharp IDP guys.

1) Has James Anderson, CAR LB finally broken out and now will he be at least be a respectable starter, or is he just holding a LB spot until Carolina upgrades their LB position? Can Anderson reproduce this year's numbers for the next year or two? Carolina defense was on the field a lot this year, does anyone see a significant change for next year?

2) Does anyone think that Brandon Graham, PHI DE will bounce back from injury and become a feared Philly pass rusher?

3) Which Baltimore LB is the one to stash and hold for the future (Ellerbe or McClain)?

I know there may be questions surrounding many fantasy players this time of the season, but I am looking for some good discussion, and I am open to listening to all opinions.

I'm wondering the same thing about Anderson. After looking at his stats for the year, his 2nd half this year was a pretty drastic fall from the 1st half, so I'm not too sure if he'll stick.

Agree with you on Anderson. He tapered off significantly.Plus, what's Davis' status? Wasn't Anderson only starting in the first place because Davis was injured? As to other players.....I'm mulling what to do with Session. IIRC he's an upcoming FA. If he leaves the Tampa 2 WLB spot in Indy, I'm not sure he's the sort of guy who would be "productive in any system." If he is, indeed, an upcoming UFA and I were making cuts today, I doubt I could hold onto him. I know he's not exactly old, but I'm not going to be left holding the "Cato June" bag with him.I think Graham COULD bounce back. I don't know if he WILL, but he's probably worth risking to find out.As to the Baltimore LBs....I think I'd go McClain. Ellerbe may be the better player, but he seems to have some "knucklehead" in him. Keeps getting himself doghoused. What do we think of Jamar Chaney? Purely a band-aid? Or are the Eagles looking at him as a potential replacement for Bradley?

With Beason along side him he will be the one to lead the team in tackles again. All this will change of course if a new coach comes in and puts a new scheme in place.2) Does anyone think that Brandon Graham, PHI DE will bounce back from injury and become a feared Philly pass rusher?Time will tell, I doubt they go away from the heavy rotation, especially if the league goes to an 18 game schedule.3) Which Baltimore LB is the one to stash and hold for the future (Ellerbe or McClain)?I gave up on this years ago, Ray may play forever. I have owned them all for the last 4-5 years waiting for the slow down. I wouldn't waste the spot.I know there may be questions surrounding many fantasy players this time of the season, but I am looking for some good discussion, and I am open to listening to all opinions.

The significant change will come with a new defensive coordinator and scheme. Much of the LB2+ value Davis/Anderson had over the past three seasons came from the Tampa-2 like scheme the Panthers often used. There's still room for a productive every-down OLB in Carolina, but it's hard to project 90 solos and a handful of big plays before the scheme settles out. I'd be selling both players for LB2 value (and certainly higher) if I could get it.
2) Does anyone think that Brandon Graham, PHI DE will bounce back from injury and become a feared Philly pass rusher?
It's a late season injury and will cost him lots of developmental time this offseason. I think Graham still has a chance at DE2 or better value, but I think it's mid-2011 and probably beyond before he gets there.
3) Which Baltimore LB is the one to stash and hold for the future (Ellerbe or McClain)?
Neither has clearly distinguished himself. There's no every-down combination of every-down run support, coverage, range on the Baltimore roster behind Ray Lewis right now. You're looking at LB3 upside as a ceiling.
