Los Angeles to get NFL team NEXT year (1 Viewer)

Let's face it, LA has too many sports and "other" interests, which is the reason football can't survive there. It's failed a couple of times, and it will fail again, and again, and again., because long after I'm dead they will keep trying to bring football to LA. Unless they are Super Bowl contenders every year, no one gives a crap in that town.
Don't hate us because we've got a lot to do.
:lmao: I hope they we get a team only because that proposed stadium looks pretty f'ing sweet. Would make an awesome Super Bowl site.
That would be sad, becasue you know they will lose any team they get eventually.
How do you "know" this? LA fans have supported their teams plenty, but in the case of the Raiders they were ultimately used as leverage for Al to cut sweetheart deals that lined his pockets; in the case of the Rams they needed a new stadium. If you build a modern stadium in LA, the revenues are there and the team will be in great shape. The stadium has always been the problem, with the politicians insisting upon reuse of the antiquated Coliseum and refusing to contribute public funding because the mandate is not there (which is as it should be for such a profitable league).

As long as tax dollars are involved there won't be a deal.

Also the Irwindale/City Of Industry area is a terrible place to put a stadium.

If it was to be done right, the Colosseum site (or somewhere close to it) is the place to put it. Staples center has done wonders for downtown, a new football stadium in that area would make it even better from a civic standpoint.

By the way, the only majority owner of the Lakers is the Buss family.

Why do you hate Los Angeles so much?
I don't hate LA, I'm just one of those guys who says give another city a chance instead of rewarding someone who's failed before and before. Something tells me they could find more avid fans.
You mean like Houston, Cleveland or Baltimore?

To build a new stadium when it was needed? Yes. That too is a measure of fan support, not just crowd size.

Well, like the Rams and Raiders, they got a better offer elsewhere.Ironic Baltimore stole Cleveland's team when Indy had stolen theirs.

"need" is pretty subjective, and I think it's ridiculous to imply that Cleveland failed as a football market in the same way that other markets failed.tons of fans in Cleveland and they always support the Browns.LA isn't exactly doing a great job of building a new stadium when it's needed. Doesn't seem like most people there care either. NFL seems to need LA more than LA needs the NFL.
