Lost a FF brother this week (1 Viewer)

It just shows that FF is more than just football. It has allowed me to develop some great friendships in the 20 years I've been playing. It has introduced me to people all over the world. People Iwould have never had the chance to know if it weren't for FF. I've lost a few of my FF brethren over the years and it is indeed a sad moment and certainly will show you what's important in life. Family and friends. One league I've been in since it started is especially close to my heart as it's definitely more than fantasy football. We have a great bunch of owners and we're in constant contact with each other and have all become close friends. It's a free league but I wouldn't want it any other way because of the relationships that all of us have built with each other. The original constructor of the league just disappeared after two years and we haven't heard anything from him or found out anything on him. We're praying he's still ok but somehow each year the MFL fees seem to get paid well ahead of time and no one in the league has had to put up any money to keep the league going. Our league's been together for 8 years now and we've only replaced 2 owners during that time.FF is a great sport and it's clearly evident that it has added so many other dimensions to leagues other than the competition. Sorry for your loss but have comfort in the fact that you were a part of this guy's life not just in the terms of fantasy but in a personal way. While I like talkin' a little smackin this league I also applaud the other owners efforts in their quest to win the league and when they do well, even if it's against my team. Winning at FF is great but I'm grateful for the many opportunities it's afforded me in meeting new people and making friends I otherwise wouldn't know if it hadn't been for fantasy football. Celebrate your buddy's life and the time you got to spend with him playing the greatest hobby around, fantasy football.

I want to offer my most heartfelt sympathies and best wishes to his family, especially his five children.
