Lot of sleepers mentioned at WR this week (1 Viewer)

I've seen thread on Royal, BMW, Burleson, all the other Seahawks WR, all the St Louis WRs. Let's try to put this into perspective.

Rank these guys for wk 6.

Burleson

L Rob

Gibson

Gilyard

BMW

Tate

Butler

Royal

A. Armstrong (added late)

I personally like L. Robinson this week, I think he is the most talented of all the guys listed, but has always been hurt. The position is his for the taking. The Hawks vs Bears doesn't look good to me for any WR...nor does Burleson vs the best pass def in the NFL (NYG).

Well you know for sure Royal will see at least 4-5 targets, that can't really be said for anybody else on the list.

In St Louis, I think L Robinson is the best bet to take Mark Clayton's numbers, but I'd wait a wait to see it before conesidering starting him.

I like Burleson, but only for this week with Calvin hurt. But Detroit throws to the TEs so much, he could have a 2 for 19 day.

I think BMW is the guy from Seattle, just because he should get some TDs. But I don't think any Seattle WRs will be any more than deep bench options.

I see Tate as the 4th option in NE, which isn't worthy of starting consideration.

I'm intrigued by Armstrong, but he isn't seeing enough targets to warrant a pick-up. He's on my watch list.

Watch out for Mike Thomas this week.

Titans have #27 ranked D against receivers. MNF.

Thomas leads team in targets, catches, and receiving yards and is top 30 in NFL in all those categories. He just needs to find the endzone!! Not to mention the kid is getting carried and punt duty, and just is a play maker.

If Mike Williams (TB) sits ... what does that do for Benn's chances? Bye weeks in a PPR appear to be forcing me to go with both Butler and B.Tate so far over G.Tate, DMC, Benn, Gilyard, and Shianco. Tough week wish I could wait and see how things shake out but injuries and byes are killer this week.

I don't know about you folk but I prefer to gamble on a guy that could be the team's #1 option for the week (and possibly the season).

Cribbs and Robinson are probably the two best picks for this week.

Would James Jones be considered a sleeper in the category? I've read that he's had the same number of targets as Finley so far and now you've got Jennings looking at being covered up with the best corner or double teamed.

Since he's been a bit pedestrian thus far, maybe Johnny Knox is a decent sleeper? Seattle pass D is borderline atrocious.... Of course that probably means Forte will have another 150 yd receiving game...

Yeah they are...FinleyCalvinMcFaddenTODeAngeloFred JacksonThis has forced me to go with Royal, Chambers and McCluster (and MBIII) I feel fine with Royal. No problem. I think he'll have a solid-to-great game.I figure KC has had some things going, and Houston has been lousy on D. Factor in Bowe's drops last week, and I'm hoping for 1 or 2 more targets than the past few games for these guys this week.I'm definitely curious about the StL and Seattle guys, too. I think I'm more confident in the KC guys, though.

I've always like Jones, but they just have so many options in GB, even with Finley and Lee out. I suppose this is the time to play him, though. (Before Lee gets back.)

As someone forced to watch every Chiefs game I don't think Chambers has ANY upside this year. I am also rolling with Royal who I think should be fine this week. On KC it'd be tough to use anyone other than JC, Moeaki, or Bowe although when you dig this deep anything's possible.

Britt

I don't know if he is still a sleeper but he is going for his 4th TD in as many games.

Isn't Lee already back?

You may be right... Looks like he's been practicing and is currently Probable.

After reading through the Cribbs thread and doing some research...I'm starting to think he may be a decent start, especially if he gets rushing, receiving and passing stats.

I believe he's banged up right now. I can't think of a game where's he done much when not healthy. It seems like a trap situation to me where although Cribbs could present a triple threat but Pitt can shut him down in every phase.

This is the right call.

I haven't really followed the Rams this year, so can someone explain why people are talking about every WR except the guy that caught 12 passes last week? Or are you guys not bringing up Amendola because he's not a sleeper? Why would Robinson be the guy to take Clayton's #s? He didn't last week.

I agree with all this, but I have a question about Tate:- I've read all the threads on Tate and the post-Moss NE situation, but who's going to get the deep ball targets for the Pats now? I realize targets vs. catches are different, but still do you see Welker, the TE's or Branch getting them?

I think everyone is assuming he is not available. He was picked up with one of the top WW priorities in every league I am in.

I imagine Amendola is already owned in leagues. He's certainly the top pickup. In my league, every wr/te on that team is available except Amendola. I like him best but I'm also not convinced he'll become the #1 guy.

They can but they haven't thus far. Cribbs has been the only threat against this team and he's torn up the Steelers before. If the coaches feel he's healthy enough to play I have no concerns over his health.

I'm pretty shocked there's almost no talk about McCluster this week
I thought coming out of the bye last week they would of worked on getting him more involved in the offense. That did not happen, only 3 touches & 5 targets so I'm losing hope that he will get enough touches to be a factor. Right or wrong we see FF potential in a lot of players but the coaches seem to have a different game plan.
