LT Owners - Another Question - Did you get Turner? (1 Viewer)

I didn't get him (he got taken right before my pick in the 10th), and now am considering trading Leon Washington for him. Thoughts? Would also appreciate any thoughts on this team as its a pretty pricey league.

1 PPR, all TDs 6 pts, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF, 1 FLEX RB/WR/TE

01.01 RB LaDainian Tomlinson SD/7

02.12 WR Larry Fitzgerald Ari/8 (6 WRs already off the board here)

03.01 WR Torry Holt StL/9 (considered Clinton and Carson - have a couple of partners and there was disagreement here)

04.12 RB Deuce McAllister NO/4

05.01 WR Laveranues Coles NYJ/10

06.12 QB Tony Romo Dal/8 (another pick our team disagreed over)

07.01 RB DeShaun Foster Car/7

08.12 TE Alge Crumpler Atl/8

09.01 RB Leon Washington NYJ/10

10.12 QB Brett Favre GB/7

11.01 WR Jerry Porter Oak/5

12.12 DE Denver Den/6

13.01 WR Mike Furrey Det/6

14.12 WR Roddy White Atl/8

15.01 PK Robbie Gould Chi/9

16.12 TE Dallas Clark Ind/6

I took him in the 12th, and I don't own LT. After the draft I offered him to the LT owner and he wasn't interested at all. He is deep at RB with Rudi, Maroney and McAllister. Unless LT owners don't have any depth, I doubt Turner is worth that much. I could use the starter at RB should LT get nicked. With the record under his belt, I'm interested to see if the new coaches use Turner a bit more to lighten LTs load. Time will tell.

I won't reply on the team because that's for another forum but I would definetly trade Washington for Turner. I like Washington and think he may be a decent option at some time but if you have Tomlinson, you MUST have Turner. No way would I risk my entire season on an injury to my super stud by not having his backup that is more than capable of filling in without massive drop off. Fwiw I backed Tomlinson up with Turner with my 9th. Figured any later than that and he was gone.

I spent a 10th rounder on Turner because my RB depth wasn't the greatest, and our league starts 2 QBs so that makes our draft a little different than most drafts (12 team redraft).

I snagged Turner in our auction draft so the LT owner couldn't complete the handcuff. I ended up a little weak at RB (Bush/Deuce/Foster/CBrown), so I ended up dealing Turner for Jerious Norwood.

These are becoming more thinly veiled year after year.
Sorry - fairly new to the forums here, if this was the wrong place for this question feel free to move...Anyway, think I am leaning towards making the trade...I like Leon Wash but not sure when I would be starting him anyway, and the peace of mind alone is probably worth it...

This is why I traded a 12th rounder for him. I just don't know if Norv will try to keep LT fresh by using Turner more and I didn't want to have to worry about it. It is also a keeper league so Turner holds decent value AND a 12th rounder is pretty cheap to get him in any 12 team format.
