Update: Tomlinson (toe) did not practice on Wednesday and might not work until Friday, but he says he "definitely" will play on Sunday at Denver, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Recommendation: "It is feeling a lot better," Tomlinson said Wednesday. "I think the smartest thing to do is just probably rest it. I'll practice. I'm just not sure what day yet." Tomlinson suffered a similar injury with two games left in the 2003 season, and he rushed for 91 and 243 yards in those final two games. He should have no problem getting up for Denver in Week 2.
Did anyone even acknowledge this??
Again, those quotes are from yesterday. If you check out the latest on the SD Union-Trib Chargers blog they say his status could be "up in the air". http://www3.signonsandiego.com/weblogs/cha...cro-or-mcneill/
Again, those quotes are not from yesterday, well they aren't now (12) but the day you replied(11) it was posted that SAME day. Sept 11. If you read the update it says....Sept 11.Anyways.
The update says Sept 11, but the quotes say "Wednesday" which would be Sept 10th. So yes, the quotes were a day old when you posted him. Not like it really matters now anyways.

LaDainian's said several times this week he's definitely playing. I'm sure he'll get his regular number of touches this week unless/until the Chargers go up big late in the game. And given the state of their defense right now I doubt that happens.

To reiterate what the 6000 other threads on the topic have said - there isn't "a" handcuff, they'll use Sproles, Hester and Tolbert to cover for LaDainian if he isn't in the game depending on situation. In yardage leagues I'd favor Sproles, in TD leagues I'd favor Hester. All three will get a few receptions.

You nervous nellies can unruffle your skirts now.

Yeah you're right. lol

You nervous nellies 2007 Shaun Alexander owners can unruffle your skirts now.
Fixed...
Come on, Groovus... get your head out of the sand. The situations are practically identical. Tomlinson's coming off of a record-breaking year in which his team went to the Super Bowl. They shipped off one of the best LGs in the game for him to run behind. And he just signed that huge contract that he has been waiting on for so many years. They're the same age, suffered the exact same injury, have duplicate genetic structures, and obviously deal with setbacks in exactly the same way. Throw in the fact that Tomlinson is being treated by the same trainers and physicians, and I simply can't imagine what would confuse you about the comparison.

 Not to mention they have identical skills and running styles.

LT Owner here. Tell you what, I didn't even pick up Sproles on draft day. Then I opened up a (non football) magazine one day (post-draft/pre-week 1) and saw an ad featuring LT and a bowl of Chunky Soup. I immediately picked up Sproles off waivers.

People scoffed but I fear the soup. And now this...

L.T. listed as questionable: The Chargers released their injury report Friday and had star running back LaDainian Tomlinson listed as questionable for Week 2 at Denver with a toe injury. Tomlinson returned to practice Friday after missing the previous two days, but head coach Norv Turner said Tomlinson took half his usual reps. "I thought there were times he looked tentative and there were times he looked good," Turner said. Tomlinson was encouraged by how the toe was feeling after practice. He thinks he will be considered probable to play by Sunday. "Just by the way I felt today, being able to run and cut and stuff," Tomlinson said. "That's why I think so."

(Updated 09/12/2008).

HMMMMMMMMMMM :bs:
