LT has monster game for Jets: :hot:

Jets RB LaDainian Tomlinson racked up over 100 total yards in the first half alone in Week 4 against the Bills. Overall for the game, Tomlinson rushed 19 times for 133 yards and two touchdowns. He scored on a 1-yard run in the first quarter after amassing 52 total yards on the drive. Tomlinson later broke free for a 26-yard touchdown scamper for his second of the game. Tomlinson also finished with three catches for 22 yards. "Somebody forgot to tell him that he's whatever age he is," said coach Rex Ryan after the game. "The guy is playing great. I thought he was a terrific player last year and we were fortunate to get him." Tomlinson passed Tony Dorsett to move into seventh place on the NFL's yards rushing list in the game. Tomlinson passed Dorsett with a 5-yard run at the end of the first quarter.

I wish I didnt have buyer's remorse from drafting him in the first round in so many leagues last year. Because of his turd of a 2009, I didnt even think about drafting him this year.

I was big time on the bandwagon in the preseason but even this is shocking me. Good for him. I thought he'd be magically rejuvinated behind that line.

That's why.

he's run for 37-208-1 in 3 games for a 5.6 ypc prior to today. He's been very good against the Ravens, Pats and Fins as well.

"You want to run through a brick wall for him," Tomlinson said of Rex Ryan. It looks like being a "players coach" can pay off in terms of motivating your players. Coming into this season LT had a real bone to pick with everybody that said he was washed up. Now he is the clear #1 back on a team that loves the run. Greene got alot of his yards in garbage time in the game today, and still seems to be struggling to bounce runs outside.

There are either alot of bitter Greene owners posting here or people who bypassed him in the 9th round......

I didnt! :goodposting:

If you look real close, it looks like he's lost a step as he juked the Bills DB and accelerated to the endzone.

As a Tomlinson owner, I was very happy with his production. I don't expect him to last the season so it was nice to get this early on. He's still old.

What do you define as garbage time? I ask because I don't agree with your statement about Greene. I watched the game. Greene had a lot of his carries in the first half.

LT is their most productive back by far, and they are using him correctly. Greene will still get a decent # of carries, and both will be startable most weeks. But LT is more explosive, elusive and versatile. I do think that he will rank as SOD 1B (behind 1A Foster) when all is said and done.

Greene looked good running up the gut and he racked up 50 so yards by halftime so his yardage was about even from half to half but he had 10 carries in about 10 minutes of game time at the end of 3rd/ into 4th when the Jets were up big and resting LT. I just think in closer games LT stays in there at least 70% of the plays with the confidence he is running with right now. Greene is still a low end RB2/Flex play IMO and in PPR leagues less than that. Greene is easier to gameplan for because of his lack of versatility in the 3rd/down passing game and as a result defenses will tend to stack the box against him.

I'd like to see him do it against a real defense before I declare him "back".
Ummmm, I am never a fan of this line, considering half the teams in the league are not that good.....Whats does who he does it against matter? Its all points.People who say they like to wait and see, always wait and watch someone else scoop the player up, or watch another player draft him.Keep waiting and seeing
